    • A method, apparatus and computer program for preferentially displaying partial information related to one of a plurality of network equipment connected to a network being managed by a network management system. The partial information is required for network management to be conducted from the network equipment. A managed terminal is included in each network equipment connected to the network. The network management system collects management information from each of the network equipment connected to the network and stores the management information therein. When conducting network management from the network equipment, the managed terminal thereof sends a request for network management to the network management system. The network management system transfers a program for managing the network to the managed terminal. The transferred program informs the network management system of the identification of the managed terminal and the network management system transfers partial information related to the managed terminal to the managed terminal based on the identification. The managed terminal then displays the transferred partial information so that network management can be conducted from the network equipment.

    • When a computer as a logical connection destination which detected a search objective user issues a search request to first one of computers which established logical connections associated with the search objective user, the first computer selects users who used my computer in a use time of the search objective user, and executes the search request over the computers which established the logical connections associated with the selected users. The same search request is sequentially carried out over m candidates of the logical connection originator computer of my computer down to an m-th computer. Search results (a computer identifier of my computer and user identifiers of the selected users) obtained by the m computers are collected in the respective computers and returned to the logical connection destination computer in an order opposite to the search request order. With use of information widely obtained in a conventional manner, a connecting path from the logical connection originator computer to the logical connection destination computer can be searched.

    • According to a cryptographic communication system which can safely perform cipher conversion processing when cryptographic communication is performed between terminals using different cipher types, when a terminal 10A-1 connected to a LAN-A using a cryptographic algorithm C1 transmits data to a terminal 10B-1 connected to a LAN-B using a cryptographic algorithm C2, the terminal 10A-1 generates two meaningless data items from the data to be transmitted, decrypts the two generated data items according to the cryptographic algorithm C1, and then transmits the decrypted data to two cryptographic protocol conversion servers and for dividing the data into two data items. Each of the cryptographic protocol conversion servers decrypts each transmitted data item, the re-encrypts the decrypted data according to the cryptographic algorithm C2, and then transmits the data to the terminal 10B-1. The terminal 10B-1 restores original transmission data on the basis of the two data items transmitted from the respective cryptographic protocol conversion servers.

    • A camera capable of recording information uses a film cartridge that includes a spool for rolling a film that includes a data recording portion. A pair of elastic flanges having annular lips peripheries thereon are provided on the spool for nipping successive convolution of the film. The film is propelled out of the cartridge by rotating the spool in a predetermined direction. The camera further comprises a feeding member for winding the film fully when the cartridge is loaded into the camera and rewinding the film into the cartridge in response to the completion of a film exposure. A recording means is also provided in the camera. The rewinding means serially records the information onto the recording portion of the film when the film is rewinding.
