摘要： Disclosed is a device for filtering out a null packet in a data stream for example an MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream) to avoid bandwidth waste when it is transmitted to a backbone network. The device includes a plurality of receiving interfaces, a filter unit, and a controller. The receiving interfaces receive parallel data, such as DVB-ASI (Digital Video Broadcasting-Asynchronous Serial Interface) inputs as channel-by-channel MPEG-2 data. The filter unit counts the respective numbers of data packets and non-data packets of the data input from the receiving interfaces and filters a null packet in the data. A network transmission unit transmits the filtered data to a backbone network. The controller calculates a bit rate based on both of the count numbers received from the filter unit.

摘要： An asynchronous transport stream receiver of a digital broadcasting receiving system connected to MPEG-2 (Moving Picture Experts Group-2) equipment, such as a VOD (Video On Demand) server is disclosed. The inventive receiver includes an FIFO section for storing MPEG-2 data generated from DVB-ASI (Digital Video Broadcasting Asynchronous Serial Interface) signals, an oscillator for generating clock signals for producing the MPEG-2 data from the DVB-ASI signals, and a read controller for reading and outputting the MPEG-2 data stored at the FIFO section in synchronization with clock signals of the oscillator. Accordingly, the MPEG-2 data can be processed and outputted regardless of the SD or HD leveled compression condition (bit rate) of the MPEG-2 data transmitted according to the DVB-ASI standard.

A transmitter adapted for the broadcast/communication convergence converts input broadcast data into a parallel format, inserts port identification (Port ID) information into each of the broadcast data converted into the parallel format and input communication data, multiplexes the broadcast data and the communication data, and transmits a broadcast/communication convergence signal based on a result of the multiplexing through a single transmission channel. A receiver adapted for the broadcast/communication convergence demultiplexes the broadcast/communication convergence signal using the Port ID information to be separated into the broadcast data and the communication data when the broadcast/communication convergence signal is received, and outputs data to a corresponding destination.

The separator detects a PAT (Program Association Table) packet from among MPEG-2 MPTS packets from a digital broadcast program provider, analyzes PIDs (Program IDs) that correspond respectively to a plurality of programs in an MPEG-2 MPTS packet, receives information of a single program selected by a user, removes packets associated with programs other than the selected program, deletes from the PAT PIDs associated with the other programs, and inserts the changed PAT into a stream corresponding to the selected program.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for correcting color in a portable image projector in consideration of an effect of a background color when the portable image projector projects images. The method corrects the effect of the background color to be projected, using color constancy technique, and thereby represents high-quality image which can be projected on a white screen. The method includes the steps of determining if a background color exists on a projection screen using a portable camera, converting the size of a mask image in order to connect a spatial position of an original image and an image photographed by a camera, correcting brightness of the mask image in order to correct non-homogeneity of the brightness of the projected image due to the distribution of different brightness values of the background color, and correcting the background color in order to correct color distortion of the image projected in different colors on the background color. The background color correction step includes the sub-steps of initializing chromaticity of the white screen in advance, and correcting chromaticity using a technique of color constancy of human eyesight.

摘要： A method and an apparatus are provided for adjusting white balance of a digital image. An input image is converted into a YCbCr color space. White pixels of the converted input image are detected by determining whether each pixel of the converted input image is included in a preset region of the YCbCr color space. A gain of each channel is calculated from averages of R, G and B values of the detected white pixels. White balance adjustment is performed by applying the calculated gain of each channel to each pixel of the input image.
