    • A dielectric filter with integral electromagnetic shielding comprises a dielectric block having an outer surface including first and second end surfaces and a side surface extending between the first and second end surfaces; an external conductor disposed on the outer surface of the dielectric block and providing integral electromagnetic shielding of the dielectric filter; at least one hole extending through the dielectric body between the first and second end surfaces, having a respective inner surface with a substantially constant cross-sectional shape; a respective pair of internal conductors provided in the at least one hole and conductively connected to the external conductor at respective ends of the hole, a respective non-conductive portion in the hole being spaced from both ends and thereby separating the pair of internal conductors and defining a respective capacitance between the pair of internal conductors, a surface of the respective non-conductive portion being substantially flush with the rest of the inner surface of the hole; and signal input and output electrodes provided on the outer surface of the dielectric body and electrically isolated from the external conductor. Conductive and possibly dielectric material is removed from an end surface of the dielectric block to adjust the resonance frequency and/or the coupling degree of the dielectric filter.

    • A pulse input device has a standard time generator for outputting standard time information by counting a system clock signal; an input circuit for sampling input signal information from a plurality of channels in synchronization with the standard time information at a predetermined period; a memory for storing the input signal information sampled by the input circuit; a command memory for storing a plurality of instruction commands; and a controller for scanning the instruction commands stored in the command memory to successively execute the instruction commands, for repeating the scanning operation of the instruction commands, and for controlling operations of the device. The controller outputs a designation signal having a period of a predetermined time for designating an execution starting time obtained by counting the system clock signals, so that the period of the execution starting time for each of the instruction commands becomes a constant rate in the successive command scanning operation for successively executing each of the instruction commands in synchronization with the designation signal, and the period of the predetermined time is set based on the instruction command having the longest execution time.

    • A band-pass filter which includes a plurality of dielectric coaxial resonators which are arranged in a parallel relation and extending axially in the same direction, and have respective coupling terminals inserted therein, and a dielectric substrate formed, on its first surface, with a plurality of coupling electrodes for connecting the respective coupling terminals. The coupling electrodes on the first surface of the dielectric substrate have an inductance element between them for connecting at least two coupling electrodes to each other. The inductance element may be a printed circuit on the dielectric substrate or an air-core coil. The air-core coil may be located either adjacent the first surface of the substrate, or away from the substrate between the resonators.

    • A holographic recording method for making a split hologram of an illuminated object from a holographic sensitive member, the method comprising the steps of segmenting both the illuminated object and the holographic sensitive member into a plurality of segments, successively recording a plurality of adjacent segments of the illuminated object onto successive single segments of the holographic sensitive member where each plurality of adjacent segments recorded after the first plurality of adjacent segments includes the unrecorded segment adjacent the last recorded plurality of adjacent segments whereby the split hologram is formed, the split hologram having a plurality of portions respectively corresponding to the plurality of segments of the holographic sensitive member. Also disclosed is a split hologram made in accordance with the above method and methods for using the hologram for information retrieval and image regeneration.
