The controller is configured to enable the operation of the electrical device along with the accumulator only if the coding identifies the accumulator as being approved for the electrical device. The invention proposes that the identification mechanism includes at least two electrical contacts that may be connected to each other in an electrically conductive manner by the electrical conductor of a coding identifying the accumulator as approved for the electrical device. The controller is configured to enable the operation of the electrical device along with the accumulator upon detecting an electrically conductive connection between the contacts. The invention further relates to an electrical device and an accumulator.
