摘要： A toner supplying container detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus. In one embodiment, the toner supplying container includes a first container for receiving toner and a second container for accommodating toner and providing toner to the first container. The second container is releasably mounted to the first container at a predetermined position such that the first container and second container communicate to each other. The second container is replaceable when the toner accommodated in the second container is used up by a third container that is substantially identical to the second container but has toner therein.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed to convert a non-interlaced computer graphics signal which consists of contiguous scan lines into an interlaced video signal which alternately consists of even fields and odd fields. The converting apparatus includes a receiving means, a low-pass filter and a line buffer. The receiving means sequentially receives a scan line. The line buffer stores the brightness signals of the first and the second scan lines before the received scan line. And the low-pass filter receives the sequential contiguous scan lines from the line buffer and the displaying scan line, weights the brightness signals of these scan lines and outputs the scan lines with the weighted brightness signal and a halved refresh rate to serve as the even field and the odd field of the interlace video signal.

摘要： A xylanase gene, denoted xynC, encoding a novel xylanase (XynC) obtained from the anaerobic fungus Neocallimastix patriciarum is provided. The DNA sequence of the xynC gene is also provided. Transformation of microbial and plant hosts with the xynC gene is described. The xynC gene may be used to design probes for use in hybridization experiments to isolate xylanase genes from other anaerobic fungi. The xynC gene has been used to construct an oleosin-xynC expression construct encoding an oleosin-xylanase fusion protein which retains xylanase activity. Transgenic Brassica napus (canola), transformed with the oleosin-xynC expression construct, expresses the oleosin-xylanase fusion protein which is immobilized in the oil-body membrane of the B. napus seeds. Canola meal, the protein-rich residue left after canola oil is extracted from canola plants, when derived from the transgenic B. napus of the present invention, retains substantial xylanase activity, making it an ideal animal feed supplement.

摘要： A rechargeable horizontally configured tri-electrode single flow zinc-air battery with a floating cathode, which is theoretically capable of providing unlimited cycle life is provided. The tri-electrode configuration consists of one anode and two cathodes, one for charging and one for discharging. The charge cathode may comprise a water permeable alkaline resisting metal/mesh foam, which avoids carbon corrosion. The floating discharge cathode comprises an air permeable and water permeable catalytic oxygen reduction electrode, which eliminates or reduces the blockage of air tunnels. The anode comprises an inert, conductive electrode allowing for zinc deposition during battery charging and zinc dissolving during battery discharging. The flowing electrolyte removes zinc ions from the anode preventing or minimizing the formation of zinc oxides during discharging and cleans the anode after each full discharge. The horizontal configuration further eliminates or reduces electrolyte leakage.
