    • A conductor receiver is described herein for engaging a conductor. The conductor receiver can include a stationary portion for receiving and securing a bottom portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also include a movable portion that is coupled to the stationary portion and has an open position and a closed position. When the movable portion is in the closed position, the movable portion secures a top portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also have a channel with a number of rows positioned width-wise within the channel. Each row has at least one member made of conductive material, where each member has a normal position and a retracted position. When the conductor is positioned within the channel, each member is in the retracted position.

    • A power connector assembly includes an appliance plug and an adapter plug. The appliance plug has at two first contact terminals, wherein each of the first contact terminals has a perforation. The adapter plug includes a casing, a switching element, at least two second contact terminals, and at least two locking elements. Each of the locking elements has a protrusion part. When the switching element is located at a first position, the protrusion part of the locking element is accommodated within the perforation of the corresponding first contact terminal, so that the locking element is in a locked state. In the locked state, the first contact terminal and the corresponding locking element are coupled with each other and the first contact terminal and the corresponding second contact terminal are electrically connected with each other.

    • The present invention relates to the field of electrical power connectors, and in particular power connectors that are used to connect a source of mains power to an item of electrical equipment. A locking panel socket (1) for making an electrical connection with a line plug comprises a socket connection portion (2) having an end face (11) and the end face having a plurality of recesses (10, 10′) for receiving corresponding power pins of a line plug, a plug insertion channel (4) that extends around the socket connection portion (2) and a panel portion (6) that extends around the plug insertion channel (4). The locking panel socket (1) also includes within the socket connection portion a locking mechanism (12) for restraining a power pin of a line plug from being withdrawn from one of the recesses (10′), and a release mechanism for releasing the locking mechanism (12) to permit the power pin to be withdrawn from the recess. The release mechanism includes an actuation portion (60) and a linking portion (30, 46, 56) that links the actuation portion with the locking mechanism (12). The actuation portion (60) is manually accessible on the panel (6) and the linking portion (30, 46, 56) extends from the actuation portion (60) to the locking mechanism (12).

    • The power connection system for a power tool includes a housing defining a recess, a plurality of electrical connector guide grooves, an electric motor connected to a tool member, an electric circuit connected to the motor, and arcuate electrical contact prongs disposed in the recess. The power cord has complementary arcuate receptacles that can be removably engageable with the prongs in a desired manner, the cord being connectable to a power source to connect the power tool to the power source, and a lock pin that locks the power cord to the housing.
