摘要： A yarn supply apparatus, particularly for textile machines, includes a rotary pulley over a holder body and a yarn supply reel under the holder body both of which are secured to a rotary shaft so that a yarn passed through in the order of a yarn guiding eyelet and a disk is wound around a number of elongated metallic rods located between two flanges to form a plurality of loops of yarn windings. The yarn stored on the metallic rods of the yarn supply reel is continuously let off from the lower side thereof to a let off guiding member. The yarn supply apparatus further includes a driving part having a cover for a holder body and a hollow portion in the interior thereof. A first pulley is rotated around a first shaft secured to the holder body and a second pulley is driven by the rotating power of the first pulley. A disk part is located under the holder body and secured to the second pulley shaft and several idle disks sited upside of disk.

摘要： A process and device for picking up and transferring stockings from a stocking circular knitting machine to a sewing machine for closing the toe of the stockings. The device includes conveying units for taking hold of the stocking at two opposite zones of the knitted fabric at a level of the open toe. Structure for moving the stocking is provided between a position for picking up the stocking, within the circular machine, in a position outside of the circular machine. A holding structure is provided for taking hold of the stocking from the conveying units and maintaining a hold on the stocking for positioning the stocking with respect to the sewing machine, for closing the toe. The method is based on the steps of mechanically removing the stocking from the sewing machine based on picking up the stocking at two diametrically opposite locations and supporting the opposite parts during transfer, bringing the edges of the open toe together for sewing the toe edge.

[Class 74 (ii)] In a circular knitting-machine having a movable sinker assembly which is raised when fabric is transferred from a transfer ring to the needles of the machine, safety means operated by controlling- mechanism is provided to prevent displacement of the sinker assembly except when the machine is in proper position for transfer. Just prior to transfer of, say, a rib top to the machine, the needles are levelled, the sinkers 21, Fig. 4, are raised so that their throats are about level with the tops of the needle hooks, and thus the points 25 of the transfer ring, entering between the sinkers, are guided thereby to the needles. The sinker head 16 is carried by the inner portion 12 of a bipartite needle cylinder, which portion can be raised by means of a foot pedal 41, Fig. 1, an abutment plate 51, controlled by a cam 42 carried on an extension of the main cam shaft 44, preventing movement of the pedal except at the proper times. In a modification, Fig. 6, (not shown), a latch 64, similarly cam-operated, takes the place of the plate 51. The transfer ring may comprise an inner member 24, and an outer clamping member 26, holding in position, the points 25. In a modification, Fig. 10, a gripping handle 74 may be provided, integral with a clamping member 75 having a bevelled lower edge, the clamping member engaging centring lugs 78 attached to the sinker cap 22. In a further modification, Fig. 11, the transfer point assembly can rotate freely within a ring 79 carrying centring lugs 82, by reason of steel balls running in a groove formed in the outer periphery of clamping member 26 , and thus, when the shoulders 83 of the lugs 82 have been rested on the sinker cap 22, the points may be rotated, to align them with the gaps between the sinkers. In a still further modification, Fig. 14, strippers 96 may be made to strip the fabric from the points 25, on to the co-operating needles, by depressing an inner sleeve 87, with respect to the transfer points 25, against the action of springs 93, axial rotation being prevented by a pin 90 riding in a groove 89 formed in a body member 84. The strippers are held in position by a spring band 101 engaging recesses in the strippers.
