    • A detachable bucket mixer for mixing viscous fluids and compositions while holding the bucket stationary during the mixing process includes a rotational drive and a clamping frame for mounting the rotational drive to a container. The clamping frame includes a barrel having a central axis, and two or more arms extending radially from the barrel. At the distal end of each of the arms is a flange having a claw-shaped grip configured to affix to a rim of the container. The arms may be capable of telescoping in order to accommodate varying diameters of buckets. Extending downward from the barrel is a drive shaft that may include a detachable mixing paddle configured for mixing viscous fluids. When the rotational drive is inserted into the barrel, it is connected to the detachable mixing paddle through the drive shaft to commence mixing. The clamping frame is configured to prevent rotation of the bucket relative to the rotational drive.

    • A concrete agitating drum (1) is driven by a hydraulic motor (81). A connection switch-over valve (20) is arranged to have a function to regulate a flow cross-sectional area of pressurized working oil supplied to the hydraulic motor (81) from a variable capacity hydraulic pump (10). The variable capacity hydraulic pump (10) is driven by a combustion engine (60) together with a charge pump (11). When a discharge pressure of the charge pump (11) is low, the connection switch-over valve (20) maintains a small flow cross-sectional area to rotate the agitating drum (1) at a low rotation speed so that fuel consumption of the combustion engine (60) is suppressed to be small. When the discharge pressure of the charge pump (11) becomes high, the connection switch-over valve (20) enlarges the flow cross-sectional area, thereby realizing a rated rotation speed of the agitating drum (1).

    • A portable concrete plant that can be transported on a single vehicle to a construction site consists of a transporting vehicle, a rotating drum for mixing the concrete, containers for sand and crushed rock, a scale for weighing a mixture of sand and crushed rock, a conveyor for conveying the mixture of sand and crushed rock to the rotating drum, a container for portland cement, a conveyor for conveying the portland cement to the rotating drum, a source of water, and a concrete pump for dispensing the concrete from the rotating drum. A fly ash container and a second scale for weighing fly ash may also be on the vehicle. The entire apparatus may be controlled by a computer which controls the various containers and scales so as to vary the proportions of sand, crushed rock, fly ash, portland cement, and water in the rotating drum to produce concrete of varying strength. The entire apparatus has dimensions which meet the length, width and height requirements for vehicles moving on the highways.

    • A concrete mixer having a mixing drum constructed of high density crosslink polyethylene material. The drum includes a bottom supported by a conventional rigid metal pan secured to the external surface thereof to rigidify the plastic drum and extend the life expectancy of the plastic drum by enabling the concrete mixer to be used to complete a mixing job at a job site even though movement of the concrete mix within the drum during repetitive mixing cycles may ultimately wear a hole through the bottom of the plastic drum. Paddle assemblies are positioned interiorly of the drum and oriented to maintain minimum splashing during the mixing operation. A rigid ring gear is attached peripherally of the drum in spaced relation to the metal supporting pan with the drum, ring gear and metal bottom pan being uniquely related to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the components to facilitate easy replacement of the components.
