    • An engine comprises a compression portion and a combustion portion. The compression portion comprises twin-screw rotors, male engaged with female. The combustion portion comprises twin-screw rotors, male engaged with female. The male compression rotor and the male combustion rotor share a same longitudinal axis, and the female compression rotor and the female combustion rotor share a same longitudinal axis. A combustion plate is disposed between the compression portion and the combustion portion, and prevents flow of gas from the compression portion to the combustion portion, except through a small orifice centrally located on the combustion plate. A valve is affixed to the male rotors adjacent to the combustion plate, covering the lobes of the male rotors and extending beyond the lobes of the male rotors. The valve controls the flow of gas from the compression portion to the combustion portion.

    • Many versions of scissor-action engines have existed. All such prior scissor-action engine designs have used rotary reciprocal movement between the rotary piston members. The present invention uses two rotary scissor-action piston members symmetrically separating the housing cylinder into two pairs of air chambers. Two pairs of air intakes and air exhausts are strategically positioned in relationship to the two air chambers. A paired gear transmission mechanism, called a “Butterfly Gear”, is linked to the rotors to control scissor action. This invention design is a “friction-free” rotary piston and momentum exchanging spring mechanism, allowing the rotary members to rotate at high speed like a turbine blade; thus resulting in higher efficiency, by reducing energy loss from air leaking and friction. Rotary scissor-action air motors can be rotated in reverse to operate as a compressor. The invention design is a system utilizing a heat exchanger container connected with two Rotary Scissor Action Motors; one as a compressor and the second as an air motor to generate energy from hot air. “The Hot Air Generator” can use concentrated sunlight or any other heating source.

    • A rotary engine rotor (10) comprises a body (12) comprising an outer surface (18), an inner surface (22), an insert (14) and a fixing member (16). The outer surface (18) comprises three rotor sides (20) arranged in an equilateral triangle shape. The inner surface (22) comprises a location portion (24) at the midpoint of each rotor side (20), the location portions (24) together defining a location aperture (26). One location portion (24) is provided with a first fixing socket (28) extending radially from the inner surface (22) of the body (12), towards the outer surface (18) of the body (12). Cooling channels (30) are provided axially through the body (12) in the region of each apex (31). The insert (14) is provided in the location aperture (26) and comprises a bearing part (38) with a second fixing socket (40) extending radially through the insert (14) and in alignment with the first fixing socket (28). The fixing member (16) is provided through the second fixing socket (40) and received in the first fixing socket (28) to couple the insert (14) to the body (12).

    • A hybrid elastomer/metal on metal motor for a helical gear device includes a rotor and stator comprising a hydraulic motor that produces work when a working fluid is pumped therethrough. The improvement involves the stator being, for part of its length, a conventional or even wall stator, using an elastomer to form a seal against the moving rotor. The stator's remaining length comprises a profiled rigid surface that forms a seal directly with the moving rotor. This gives the motor the high efficiency of the elastomer sealing against the rotor, and simultaneously provides a backup of the stator' s rigid section allowing continued motor operation at reduced efficiency, if the elastomer part failed in service. The invention also includes combinations of a regular disk stack with a rubber lining, a rigid material disk stack (or unitized element) and a circular rigid sleeve which react to rotor sideloading while permitting proper rotor orbiting.
