摘要： Jeans are bleached by rotating glass-expandable ceramics having a bulk specific gravity of 0.7 to 1.2, a 24 hour water absorption of not greater than 5% and the maximum diameter of not greater than 150 mm, water and jeans in a rotary tank. Further jeans are bleached by rotating an air-permeable ceramic porous material having a bulk specific gravity of 0.7 to 1.9, a 24 hour water absorption of 10 to 40% and the maximum diameter of not greater than 150 mm, water and jeans in a rotary tank. In this case, the air-permeable ceramic porous material may also be immersed in a bleaching agent solution.

摘要： The transfer of a textile dye from a dyed fabric to another fabric during washing or rinsing is inhibited by adding an enzyme exhibiting peroxidase activity or an enzyme exhibiting a suitable oxidase activity to the wash liquor in which said fabrics are washed and/or rinsed. Peroxidase is produced extracellularly by some strains of Bacillus pumilus. The novel peroxidase preparation from B. pumilus is a microperoxidase, i.e. it contains hemopeptide as an active component. The preparation has improved stability at high temperature, at high pH and at high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide. It can be produced without undesired catalase activity.

摘要： A laundry treatment product, in the form of a sachet containing a particulate bleaching detergent composition containing sodium percarbonate, has at least two compartments to enable the sodium percarbonate to be segregated from certain other ingredients, particularly zeolites. The sachet product exhibits improved bleach stability on storage. Sachets of water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol film are not insolubilized in the wash liquor since no sodium perborate is present to generate insolubilizing borate ions.
