摘要： A process for preparing a nylon block copolymer which comprises bringing into reactive contact lactam monomer, basic lactam polymerization catalyst and a composition containing one or more lactam functional materials selected from the group represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein, Q is ##STR2## with Y=C.sub.3 -C.sub.11 alkylene; b is an integer equal to 2 or more;R.sub.1 is an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkyloxy, halogen, aryloxy, or aralkyloxy group;Z is a segment of: (1) a polyether, provided said polyether is not solely polyarylene polyether; (2) a polyester containing polyether or polymeric hydrocarbon segments (3) a hydrocarbon; (4) a polysiloxane; or (5) combinations thereof.

摘要： Methods of making water soluble polyimide resin compositions. A carboxy terminated bisimide is prepared by reacting a suitable aromatic dianhydride with a suitable oxoimine. The bisimide is then mixed with a sufficient quantity of a water soluble solvent to dissolve the bisimide. Water is added to make a solution of the desired viscosity. An aromatic diamine is added to this water solution. To the mixture is added a suitable quantity of a tertiary amine to stabilize the resin. The solution is coated onto a surface and dried to produce a smooth, flexible coating. The coating can then be heated to an appropriate temperature to produce a fully polymerized coating which is thermally stable and resistant to oils and solvents.

摘要： The invention relates to hot-melt adhesives based on anionic copolymers of lactams, where one of the starting lactams is 8.octanolactam in the amount of 10-90 mol.% and the other at least 2 lactams containing 6 or more 6 atoms in the ring are in the amount 90-10 mol.%. These further lactams are preferably 6-hexanolactam and 12-dodecanolactam. The melt adhesives may contain further additives, as dyes, fillers, molecular weight regulators, etc. The anionic copolymerization used for their manufacturing is the simple and rapid technique which requires lower temperatures and can be easily performed continuously. The said polyamide melt adhesives are applicable e.g. in clothing and footwear industry and other textile and leather working.

摘要： Objects composed of a metal-coated polyamide plastic, and a process for making same are disclosed in which a polyamide plastic substrate material is made by the hydrolytic polymerization of an omego lactam carried out at a temperature at least at the melting point of the polyamide material in the presence of one or more compounds soluble in the molten lactams, such as polyethers, alcohols of fatty acids having a boiling point above the lactam, organic sulphones, alkali metal halides, paraffins and silicone oils. After appropriate surface treatment of this plastic material, metal coating is deposited by precipitation and by further treatment as by electro deposition, to obtain the metal-coated polyamide plastic object.
