摘要： A cake pan adapted for guidance in cutting a cake provides a pan bottom and a peripheral pan sidewall integral with the pan bottom and directed upwardly for terminating with a pan sidewall edge. The sidewall edge provids plural circular guide pins. A straightedge ruler has a straight edge of a length sufficient to span the cake pan from any one selected position on the sidewall edge to any further selected position on the sidewall edge. The guide pins are positioned such that with the straightedge ruler in contact with any selected pair of the guide pins, the straight edge is positioned for guiding straight-line cutting of the cake in a desired location on the cake corresponding to the straight edge.

摘要： A bread loaf retainer and slicing knife guide comprising a horizontal support surface and a surrounding vertical rim, the support surface having a plurality of spaced, upwardly projecting, bread loaf penetrating protrusions to retain the end of a loaf of bread in fixed position on the support surface, the vertical rim extending above the support surface a specific amount substantially equal to the desired bread slice thickness, and having an upper edge forming a coplanar guide for engagement by a bread knife in continuous contact therewith to cut a slice of uniform thickness. In one embodiment, a ring telescopically interfits with the rim and has a height greater than the rim to extend above the rim, and has an upper edge forming a guide surface for the bread knife to allow slicing of a bread slice to a uniform thickness. In another embodiment, a second vertical rim extends downwardly from the support surface a different amount than the first rim and has a second guide surface for a bread knife, the support surface also having a second set of projecting bread loaf penetrating protrusions generally parallel to the second vertical rim such that by inverting the bread loaf retainer, and holding the end of a bread loaf thereon, a uniform slice of bread of different thickness can be cut.

摘要： A saw guide for use with a hand power saw comprising in combination a guiding platform with two generally planar edges which underlie or form two guiding edges for guiding the shoe plate of a hand power saw across a workpiece to make cuts at various angles, and two workpiece guide bars; one guide bar is generally stationary, engaging the end surface of a workpiece to initially align the guide; the other guide bar is slideable, engaging the opposite end surface of a workpiece. The sliding guide bar is releasably clamped in position. Both guide bars work in unison to hold the saw guide in relation to both workpiece edges, allowing the saw guide to slide along the top surface of a workpiece, but not swivel out of position. Two kerf gauges are slideably interlocked at both ends of the stationary guide bar. These gauges measure a cut line along both the top surface and edge surface of a workpiece. These gauges are easily swapped or replaced for use with different power saws, blades or blade tilts. These gauges may be used for quick and accurate alignment of the saw guide.

Adjustable means is provided for advancing the loaf of bread, or other object to be sliced, the same measured distance toward a cutting knife each time a slice is cut so that the slices will be of uniform thickness. Equally spaced apart notches are associated with the loaf advancing means so that a blind person can feel these notches and can move the loaf one notch at a time to obtain slices of the same thickness. The sides of the loaf are gripped during the cutting operation. A pair of guides for the cutting knife are magnetized for supporting the knife when not used.
