    • A sewing clip is provided. In one embodiment, the sewing clip securely clamps fabrics of various thicknesses, sizes, elasticity, and textures in assistance of a sewing operation. The sewing clip includes two rigid members and an elastic assembly. The two rigid members each have a first surface with a clamping and handling end and a hinge extension coupled to the first surface. When employed in a sewing operation, the clamping end of each rigid member has a tapering-width adapted to slide in a direction away from a stitching point. An elastic assembly couples the hinge extensions of each rigid member and biases the two rigid members so as to secure overlapping fabric between the clamping ends while avoiding unnecessary alteration or damage to the fabric. A recessed divot is also provided in the clamping end that allows for retention of surplus fabric.

    • At least one embodiment of the invention generally relates to a bushing kit (102) and method of installing the same with a mandrel (300) having a tapered region (304). The bushing kit comprises an inner member (110) and an outer bushing (108). The inner member may include an inner surface (126) having an engagement portion, such as a coating, plating, and/or lining, such as a self-lubricating coating. The method of installing the bushing kit (102) includes passing the tapered portion of the mandrel through the outer bushing (108) to radially expand the outer bushing into the structural workpiece (104) and possibly induce some amount of residual compressive stress in the structural workpiece (104). Contemporaneously, the inner member (110) is passed into the radially-expanded outer bushing (108) before the outer bushing is permitted to radially inwardly rebound or spring back. The outer bushing (108) is then permitted to radially contract onto the inner member to form an interference fit therewith.

    • An extractor tool used to remove the quill shaft unique to the General Electric T-700 series turboshaft engine when used as the powerplant for the AH-64A & D model Apache Helicopters. The extractor incorporates an alignment housing coupled with an extractor unit. The alignment unit consists of a top plate with alignment holes for the 2 pullers as well as a bottom plate that has mounting holes unique to the T-700 turboshaft engine with both plates held together by spacer sleeves. The extractor unit incorporates a threaded shaft with a machined point that is threaded through a crossbar. The crossbar holds 2 individual jaws that slide onto the crossbar and are used to grasp and remove the quill shaft when the quill shaft is mounted in the T-700 Series engine and installed for use as the primary powerplant in the AH-64A & D model Apache Helicopters.

    • A compact tool for removing guitar bridge pins is disclosed, which includes a housing and an active swing arm having a metal capture notch at the free end for receiving the head of the pin requiring removal. The tool is preferably made of machined steel, and the capture notch has a three-sided configuration with a lip which is configured and dimensioned to be easily positioned beneath the head of the pin, while the head of the pin sites within a recessed cavity adjacent the lip. The user conveniently grips the housing to apply the requisite force to remove the pin from the bridge of the guitar. While the three-sided lip is preferably made of a strong metal such as steel, hardened aluminum, zinc or the like, other materials are contemplated, provided they are strong and durable. Alternatively, the tool can be constructed in a T-Shaped configuration, incapable of folding. Still alternatively, the tool can be fabricated as a single straight one-piece device incorporating the unique three sided capture notch of the invention.

    • An apparatus and method for changing a spatula blade is provided. The apparatus has a restraining element for engaging the blade to restrain the blade on a blade support surface. A restraining member is movable from a first position spaced from the blade support surface, and a second position for limiting movement of the blade while restrained by the restraining element at the blade support surface. To remove a blade from a spatula body, the restraining member is moved to the second position. In the second position, movement of the blade is limited to prevent disengagement from the restraining element. A force is applied to the spatula body to separate the body from the blade. To install a blade to a spatula body, the blade is restrained by the restraining element and the restraining member and the spatula body is advanced toward the blade to mount the blade to the body.
