    • A fastening apparatus for fastening a first device to a second device is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a standoff member disposed through a through hole of the first device; a clamp member having a clamp portion for clamping the standoff member; a sleeve member having a hollow body and enclosing the clamp member, wherein the clamp member is compressed in the hollow body; a resilient member wrapping around the sleeve member; a rotatable cam member pivotly coupled to the clamp member; and a cap member arranged between the rotatable cam member and the resilient member, wherein the rotatable cam member is rotated to a first location to compress the resilient member for causing a first preload force exerted on the second device.

    • A one-piece cable tie includes a locking head and an attached strap, the locking head being adapted to receive and selectively engage a portion of the strap when the tie is formed into a closed loop. The cable tie additionally includes a fastener formed onto the locking head that is designed for connection with the electrical connector for an oxygen sensor for an automotive emissions control system. The fastener includes a flattened platform that is spaced away from the top surface of the locking head by an inverted T-shaped standoff, the flattened platform being sized and shaped to be slidably disposed within a corresponding slot formed in the electrical connector. A ratchet tooth is formed onto the flat top surface of the platform and is shaped to engage the electrical connector in order to retain the fastener secured within the slot in the electrical connector.

    • A pallet consisting of a deck (1) and a number of feet (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) placed under the deck. When the deck is loaded with goods (5) for transport the pallet is covered with a soft covering material (4). The latter is made from plastics or textile and removably fastened to the deck (1) at least at one place by wedging a corner (4a) of the covering material tight in at least a first incision (9) in at least one clamp (7) mounted on the deck (1). It is thus obtained that the goods loaded on the pallet may be securely covered and held in place on the pallet; the pallet becoming relatively easy to handle.

    • There is provided a fastener which can be fixed in a mounting hole in an ensured fashion and which can be removed from the mounting hole in an easy and ensured fashion.This fastener 10 includes a main body 20 which is fixed in a mounting hole and a pin member for releasing the engagement of the main body 20 with the mounting hole. A pin-side engagement portion and a main-body-side engagement portion are provided between the pin member 40 and the base portion 21 of the main body 20 for holding the pin member 40 in a predetermined pushed-in position when the pin member 40 is inserted into the base portion 21.

    • The field of the present invention relates to an identification assembly, and in particular, to a clasp device for securing to an identification wristband, and to a wristband and clasp assembly. In one embodiment, a identification assembly for a patient includes a band with first and second opposite ends and first and second opposite edges and a width measured between the first and second edges. The identification assembly also includes a clasp secured to the band. The clasp has a first section having an inside surface and an outside surface; a second section having an inside surface and an outside surface, the inside surface of the second section facing the inside surface of the first section; and a protrusion extending from one of the first or the second section to engage the other of the first or the second section to secure the first and second sections together in a closed position. The outside surface of one of the first or the second section comprises a symbol on the outside surface to provide information about the patient. The clasp is color-coded to provide information about the patient.

    • An electronic assembly includes a printed circuit board mounted with an electronic component, a heat sink, and a clip securing the heat sink on the printed circuit board to enable the heat sink to have an intimate contact with the electronic component. The printed circuit board forms two engaging portions each defining a receiving hole therein. The heat sink includes a base and a plurality of fins. The clip includes a pressing member pressing the heat sink to the electronic component, two V-shaped operating members extending slantwise from ends of the pressing member, and two clasps extending outwardly from ends of the operating members. Height of each of the clasps is larger than that of each of the receiving holes of the engaging portions. The clasps of the clip lock with the engaging portions by manipulating the operating members.
