    • Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a provision of access to services. A time delimited, multiple use ticket/admissions card is provided that controls admission to services offered by participating service providers. The ticket/admissions card is issued to a ticket holder, and the card is valid for a certain amount of uses, where each use should be completed during a certain period of time. The first use of the card, for example, should be completed within a first time period, and if the first use is not completed during this first time period, then the first use expires; the second use of the card should be completed within a second time period, and if the second use is not completed during this second time period, then the second use expires. In this way, the ticket/admissions card provides a time delimited, multiple use scheme to control allowed admittance to authorized services.

A flexible repeatable affiliated consumer method having components which allow a provider to create customizable customer loyalty programs with greater flexibility and creativity while also being modifiable in the market environment in a manner that the program provider can design or alter the program or provide multiple tailored programs as needed to attract consumers to give custom at participating merchants. The flexible repeatable affiliated consumer method can include indicia of membership that is a debit, cash or credit card linked to an automated payment system, or any other device such as a card not linked to an automated payment system, and modes and media of communication, data flow and collection and interaction with consume members via the internet or otherwise. The flexible repeatable affiliated consumer method can include components, such as different merchants or marketing materials which are provided to allow the program provider to select different marketing characteristics with different branding characteristics and participating merchants to appeal to different consumer segments. The flexible repeatable affiliated consumer method enables linked databases for efficient program administration and a powerful consumer research mechanism that can be marketed to participating merchants by a program provider.

    • The disclosed methods, systems, and computer-program products allow a credit or charge card issuer to promote healthcare information technology (HIT) products to physician card members that are affiliated with a healthcare organization, such as a preferred-provider organization (PPO). In an embodiment, the PPO endorses at least one HIT product, such as an electronic medical record (EMR), and the PPO identifies the endorsed HIT product to a transactional card provider. The transactional card provider then identifies at least one supplier of the endorsed HIT product and negotiates a discount on the endorsed HIT product when purchased from identified HIT supplier using a financial transaction instrument issued by the transactional card provider. The financial transaction instrument may be provided to the physician card member, who may purchase the endorsed HIT product from the identified supplier at the negotiated discount.

    • Handling electronic coupons includes accessing information indicating association of an electronic coupon with an account of a user that identifies multiple retail entities associated with the user. Information indicating association of electronic coupons with the user's account may be transmitted to respective computer systems associated with the multiple retail entities. The computer systems may associate electronic coupons with the user such that the user may redeem the electronic coupons at a retail store upon presentation of a user identifier. When the user redeems an electronic coupon, cancellation information for the electronic coupon may be transmitted to the computer systems of other retail entities associated with the user. Receipt of the cancellation information may cause the respective computer systems to cancel the redeemability of the electronic coupon such that the user is prevented from redeeming the electronic coupon at a retail store associated with the corresponding retail entity.
