A web of material is provided to at least one cutting station in which a first pattern is generated in the web of material. A further cutting may occur to create additional modifications in order to provide a microchip attachment location and to selectively tune an antenna for a particular end use application. The cutting may be performed by a laser, die cutting, stamping or combinations thereof.

摘要： A card formed in accordance with the invention includes a first assembly comprised of multiple plastic layers attached via an adhesive to a metal layer. The multiple plastic layers forming the first assembly are laminated under a first selected temperature and pressure conditions to preshrink the multiple plastic layers, stress relieve the first assembly and render the first assembly dimensionally stable. The laminated first assembly is then attached to a metal layer via an adhesive layer to form a second assembly which is then laminated at a temperature below the first selected temperature to form a card which is not subjected to warpage and delamination.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus for producing a sheet material including: an RFID reader (11) for reading information froth an RFID tag; a sheet supply unit (12) for supplying the sheet material (4) having a heat-sensitive printing layer on one surface of a sheet-type base material, and having a heat-sensitive adhesive layer on the other surface of the sheet-type base material; a printing unit (13) for performing printing on the heat-sensitive printing layer of the sheet material (4) supplied from the sheet supply unit (12); a thermal activation unit (15) for heating the heat-sensitive adhesive layer of the sheet material (4), which is printed by the printing unit (13), to develop an adhesive force of the heat-sensitive adhesive layer; and a control unit (16) for controlling the thermal activation unit (15) to develop the adhesive force in a predetermined area of the heat-sensitive adhesive layer other than an area facing the RFID tag so as to form an adhesive area to be attached to the article, and for controlling the printing unit (13) to print predetermined information on the heat-sensitive printing layer, based on the information read from the RFID tag by the RFID reader (11), thereby making it possible to match information of the tag with information printed on the sheet material with reliability, and to simply attach the tag to the article.

摘要： A radiating element made from a conductive-nonwoven web is incorporated into a signal emitting apparatus. The signal emitting apparatus, for instance, may comprise an RFID tag. The conductive-nonwoven web contains, in one embodiment, conductive fibers combined with pulp fibers. The conductive fibers may comprise carbon fibers. The nonwoven web may be made using a conventional paper-making process. The resulting conductive web is not only well suited for use as an antenna, but is also relatively inexpensive to manufacture and can be easily incorporated into numerous products.

Each of the adhesive layer (323) and the ink design layer includes a non-cross-linked PVC resin. The ink design layer may be screen printed onto the adhesive layer (323) or may be printed onto the adhesive layer (323) using thermal transfer printing, ink jet printing or laser printing.
