摘要： A transparent laminated window structure having high impact resistance is disclosed, wherein the window comprises a continuous inner layer of thermoplastic material, and an outer layer substantially parallel to the inner layer including at least a first course of discrete, mutually spaced glass segments, the spaces between adjacent segments containing an adhesive material. The window structure may further comprise a strip of elastomeric material compressed between the inner and outer layers so as to define a gas gap between the layers. A projectile contacting a particular glass segment in the outer layer will fracture that segment, but will not cause cracking in the adjacent, mutually spaced segments in the same course, and therefore, a high degree of visibility through the window structure will be retained after impact by the projectile.

A panel is formed of at least two structural plies and at least one of which is a vitreous sheet, layers of heat convertible thermally insulating barrier forming material are placed on a face of each ply, and a plastic membrane is sandwiched between the layered plies, the layers being adjacent the plastic membrane. When formed in this way, the plastic membrane makes the transfer of heat from one barrier-forming material layer to the other more uniform and prolongs the time taken for the vitreous sheet to reach a given temperature, while the panel as a whole is in itself sufficient to prevent or delay propagation of fire across an opening closed by the panel. Protective strata may be applied to each vitreous ply on its face that will be in contact with the barrier forming material layer to inhibit interaction between the ply and the layer and preserve the transparency (if the ply is transparent) of the ply over an extended period of time.

The laminated glass provided with the transparent nano film has a maximum reflectivity Rmax and a minimum reflectivity Rmin for the P-polarized light that has the incident angle ranging from 45° to 72°, where Rmax/Rmin ranges from 1.0 to 2.0.

摘要： A low infrared absorbing lithium glass includes FeO in the range of 0.0005-0.015 wt %, more preferably 0.001-0.010 wt %, and a redox ratio in the range of 0.005-0.15, more preferably in the range of 0.005-010. The glass can be chemically tempered and used to provide a ballistic viewing cover for night vision goggles or scope. A method is provided to change a glass making process from making a high infrared absorbing lithium glass having FeO in the range of 0.02 to 0.04 wt % and a redox ratio in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 to the low infrared absorbing lithium glass by adding additional oxidizers to the batch materials. A second method is provided to change a glass making process from making a low infrared absorbing lithium glass to the high infrared absorbing lithium glass by adding additional reducers to the batch material. In one embodiment of the invention the oxidizer is CeO2. An embodiment of the invention covers a glass made according to the method.

The glass plate module includes laminated glass in which an outer glass plate, an interlayer, and an inner glass plate are layered in this order; a mask layer that is provided on the laminated glass and blocks a field of vision from outside; and an attachment member that is attached to a portion corresponding to the mask layer on the inner glass plate with at least a first adhesion means and a second adhesion means and configured to support an information acquisition device for acquiring information from outside of a vehicle. The first adhesion means includes adhesive at at least one location. The second adhesion means is configured such that the adhesive conducts preliminary fixing prior to curing. The attachment member includes a fixation portion that faces the mask layer and has a bonding surface provided with the adhesion means. The fixation portion includes at least one adhesive confirmation portion through which the adhesive applied to the bonding surface can be seen from the vehicle interior side.

摘要： The present invention provides high security polycarbonate laminates integrated with insulated glazing units (IGU) to produce high security windows. The laminate comprises at least nine layers, in the following order: (i) an insulated glazing unit; (ii) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (iii) a polycarbonate; (iv) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (v) a polycarbonate; (vi) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (vii) a glass; (viii) a thermoplastic polyurethane; and (ix) a polycarbonate. A frame may surround and overbite the laminate. An array of framed laminates may be arranged such that one framed laminate may be removed, without removing an adjacent laminate.
