    • A device for feeding and discharging a work in an automatic hollow-pipe cutting apparatus comprises: a cutter device for cutting a hollow pipe; a cam lever driving mechanism for sending the hollow pipe to the cutter device; a fixed chuck device disposed near the cutter device; a movable chuck device disposed away from the cutter device; a movable die core disposed inside the cutter device and inside the hollow pipe; another cam lever driving mechanism for moving the movable chuck device; a stopper and ejector fitted to the fixed die core; whereby when the hollow pipe is fed to the cutter device, the fixed chuck device grasps and release the hollow pipe and the movable chuck device also grasps and release the hollow pipe but at timing different from grasping and releasing by the fixed chuck means and the feeding of the hollow pipe into the cutter device is performed by movement of the movable chuck device by means of the other cam lever driving mechanism, and after the hollow pipe is cut, during lowering of a slider which accommodate the stopper and ejector and a movable shearing cutter of the cutter device, the stopper and ejector is sent back by means of a cam in the direction reverse to the feeding direction of the hollow pipe into the cutter device so that a cut piece is discharged.

    • The mechanical hand (16) comprises, on one hand, a zone (46) for the support and sliding of a panel or slab (SP) in a horizontal working plane (WP) and, on the other hand, a handling gripper (36) which can move horizontally along and across the whole range of said supporting and sliding zone (46). The gripper (36) has a lower jaw (40) located below the working plane (WP). The support and sliding zone (46) is defined by retractable members consisting of an array of vertically moving pillars (48) with each of which are associated positive control means for causing them to perform selectively a travel independently of that of the other pillars between a raised position in which one of its upper support and sliding surfaces is in the working plane (WP), and a lowered position in which the surface is at a level which is lower than that of the lower jaw (40) of the gripper (36). Control means are provided which interconnect the means (Mx, My, Mz) for controlling the movement of the gripper (36) and the means for controlling the movements of each support (48) such that, when the gripper (36) passes through and stops in the zone (46) of the pillars (48), the pillars (48a) which are in correspondence with or in the vicinity of the gripper (36) are lowered such that they do not interfere with its lower jaw (40) whilst the other pillars (48) are raised in order to hold the panel (SP).

    • An automatic supply and storage system for machined materials includes; a feed conveyor which aligns and recycles a plurality of machined materials; a delivery conveyor which moves back and forth from the conveying area of the feed conveyor to advance and receive back the machined materials and to convey the machined materials for further processing in a direction transverse to the conveying direction of the feed conveyor; and a storage conveyor having a plurality of buckets which are intermittently recycled to store the machined materials, after further machining, in a prescribed bucket. The buckets have an aperture section which can be opened and closed in both the vertical and sideways directions. The system thus has the capability of feeding the machined materials to a machine tool, and after feeding a specified amount, sending the materials back to the feed conveyor.Also, a remnant selection device is positioned in the discharge end direction of the delivery conveyor to form a machined material transportation passage conforming to the quantity of machined material remnants. Remnants which are shorter than a prescribed length are rejected. A remnant collection hook which engages remnants which exceed the prescribed length and returns the remnants to the delivery conveyor then to the feed conveyor.A prestock passage aligns and stores the materials after processing and is movable to a push-out position in a direction transverse to the direction of delivery of the materials from the prestock passage to the storage conveyor.
