    • An earplug is provided to prevent the tinnitus, which comprises an earplug body and at least one tube. The earplug body is made from a soft moldable material. The tube is placed inside the earplug body surrounded by the soft moldable material, and having two openings at two ends of the tube, and a diameter of the tube is in a range from 0.03 cm to 0.15 cm. The tube is configured for communicating outside air to maintain the balance of the air pressure, and thus the earplug of the present invention is able to prevent the tinnitus of the user. Further, although the earplug of the present invention blocks most of the external sound, it still allows some thimbleful sound entering through the tube. In this way, the user does not need to worry about losing contact with the outside and remain the ability of noise reduction, so the user may feel more relieved while sleeping.

    • The present invention relates hearing protection devices for the human ear. More particularly, embodiments of the invention provide hearing protection devices capable of tunable acoustic attenuation. The invention relates further to ear plugs comprising a fluid-containing balloon for occlusion of the ear canal, which are capable of being adjusted for example by modifying fluid composition and/or fluid pressure within the balloon to vary attenuation at different frequencies of the audible sound spectrum. Other embodiments provide an earplug with fixed attenuation comprising: a body of compressible/expandable-recovery material shaped and sized to fit in an ear canal; and at least one chamber disposed within the body and comprising a filler material chosen from at least one of water, aphrons, water with solid or gelatinous particles suspended, and oil with particles suspended.

    • The present embodiment represents a dynamic Multi-Functional Dual Filtered Hearing Protector that will allow the wearer to hear intelligible speech or warning sounds, while the wearer is present in an environment surrounded by loud noise or impact sounds. The automatic attenuation provided by this hearing protector will increase, as the sound pressure levels increase, thus requiring no human intervention. This hearing protector is especially useful in situations where sounds may be produced from unexpected spikes in sound intensity, while still enabling the wearer to hear warning buzzers, or approaching vehicles without compromising safety. By not requiring human adjustment the wearer will be protected from such sounds. In addition to being able to be connected to acoustic transducers, the invention also relates to a custom hearing protector incorporating features of the embodiment, and a method for manufacturing such a custom hearing protector.
