摘要： The invention relates to a portable, cordless, hair dryer/blower that has an elongated hollow body portion with a mass center line and including therein a blower motor and a heating element and having a posterior end and an anterior end. A handle portion has a longitudinal axis extending substantially transversally from and along the mass center line of the elongated body portion. The handle portion includes switch controls for operating the heating element and the blower motor. A power source has a flat base and a mass center line that, when the power source is attached to the handle portion lies substantially along the longitudinal axis of the handle and the mass center line of the elongated body portion to provide power to the manual controls and to provide a flat base structure for enabling the hair dryer/blower to stand alone.

摘要： A retaining device of a heat blower comprises two sliding grooves and four wings. Each of two sides at a rear end of a casing of the heat blower is formed with one of the two sliding grooves. Each of an upper and a lower ends of each wing has an elastic hook, respectively. By pressing the elastic hooks. The wings are embedded into respective sliding groove, and the wings are slidable with respect to the sliding groove. The wings can be pushed to move outwards to predetermined positions so as to increase the coverage and stability of the heat blower. The wings can be pushed inward along the sliding grooves for operation as being held by a user or for storage.

摘要： A hair-styling device containing a hand attachmentt and a source for heated air under pressure connected to the hand attachment. The hand attachment is made up of a heat-reflecting member, bands for attaching the hand attachment to a hand, an air chamber, and bristles attached to the air chamber. In one embodiment, the hand attachment is substantially hand shaped and the attachment bands are located on the fingers and wrist so as to allow easy attachment to the hand of the user. In another embodiment, the hand attachment is substantially rectangular in shape and the attachment bands are connected to the sides. Heated air may leave the air chamber through openings in the air chamber between the bristles. Alternatively, air may leave the air chamber through ducts in the bristles. The source of heated air contains a heater and a pump. Preferably, the source is in a base which contains a holder for the hand attachment. The hand attachment is useful in providing a brush for simultaneously drying and styling hair.

摘要： An electric appliance safety system including a hand-held appliance, a power input for receiving electric current, a two-pole switch for activating the appliance, a power cord connecting the appliance with the switch and a pair of manually operable control elements operatively coupled to the two-pole switch for controlling its position. A hanger box encloses the switch and control elements, except for protruding portions of the control elements, and is adapted to receive the appliance. When the appliance is removed from the hanger box, the protruding portion of one of the control elements can be pressed manually, until latched on the other control element, thereby closing the switch and activating the appliance. When the appliance is hung on the hanger box, the protruding portion of the other control element is pressed down, thereby releasing the first control element, opening the switch, and disconnecting the appliance.

摘要： A portable heat gun especially applicable for shrinking of heatshrinkable polyethylene tubings. A brushless self-lubricating electric motor is positioned within a hollow pistol grip shaped housing of high impact plastic, in line with an air intake orifice in the rear of the housing. The motor carries a fan to push intake air past a heating wire wound round a stiff, flat, refractory card maintained within the inner stainless steel tube of the two co-axial tubes set in the housing and giving the heat gun the appearance of a pistol, and then through an exhaust orifice. The tubes and card are held in place by a set of screws and by associated spacer elements. Air may be passed between the tubes to provide thermal insulation. A three-way switch permits fan operation with or without heating. Support means on the housing cooperate with the handle to provide a tripod support for holding the tubes vertical.
