摘要： A cylindrical secondary battery comprises a current collector assembly that electrically connects the sealing cover with a core of one of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. The current collector assembly is composed of a combination of a current collector plate having a plate shape that is provided on an upper part of the electrode assembly and a current collector lead including a cylindrical part having opposed top and bottom parts and an axis along a main surface of the current collector plate, the top part is joined to a sealing plate that is a bottom surface of the sealing cover, and the bottom part is joined to the current collector plate The current collector lead further includes at least one rectangular tab part extending from an opening edge of the cylindrical part in a direction of the axis, and electrically connected with the current collector plate.

The nonwoven fabrics of the separators are formed by combining microfibers and compound fibers through melting portions of the compound fibers. The fibers have a virtually circular cross-section. The microfibers and the compound fibers have a diameter ranging from 1 μm to less than 5 μm and a diameter ranging from 5 μm to 15 μm, respectively. The proportion of the microfibers to whole fibers ranges from 10 percent by mass to 20 percent by mass. At least one of the nonwoven fabrics of the separators is subjected to sulfonation treatment.

In the event that the film end sensor detects the tail end of the film in the event of a power failure, the cutter control circuit actuates the cutter using the electrical energy stored in the capacitor. This makes it possible to actuate the cutter even in the event of a power failure as well as to reduce the capacitance of the utility power source to a small level.
