    • A duplicating photosensitive material film is brought into close contact with an ND glass reduced in thickness so as to become flexible or a flexible sheet or an ND glass coated with a cushioning layer through an optical contacting liquid containing a surface active agent. In addition, a spacer is interposed between a hologram original plate and a duplicating photosensitive material, and a space defined by the spacer is filled with an optical contacting liquid, thereby regulating the thickness of the optical contacting liquid layer with the spacer. Therefore, when pressure is applied, the optical contacting liquid is uniformly pressed, so that it can be made uniform and thin in thickness. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a failure of duplication of a hologram image due to undesirable flow of the optical contacting liquid. In addition, the wettability of the optical contacting liquid improves, so that it is possible to prevent trapping of air and foaming and to make the optical contacting liquid uniform and thin in thickness. Thus, it becomes possible to duplicate a hologram image excellently. In addition, a cushioning layer is provided on the inner side of an AR coated ND glass or on the upper side of a photosensitive material film, and another cushioning layer is provided on the side of an original plate protecting glass which is closer to the optical contacting liquid or on the lower side of the photosensitive material film. With this arrangement, even if dust enters, it can be effectively held inside the cushioning layers. Thus, it is possible to prevent undesirable flow of the optical contacting liquid and lifting of the film due to dust and hence possible to perform duplication effectively without any hindrance. Also disclosed is a hologram producing apparatus which includes mechanisms for feeding and taking up a duplicating photosensitive material film, and a contacting liquid dropping mechanism. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for nipping an excess of contacting liquid dropped, a mechanism for drying the contacting liquid attached to the exposed duplicating photosensitive material film, a mechanism for positioning the film, etc.

    • A digital filter, in which the operation time can be kept short even when the order of the filter is high. The digital filter comprises a first transversal filter TF.sub.1 which has an input terminal connected to a signal input terminal 10, first delay means DR.sub.1 which has an input terminal connected to the output terminal of first transversal filter TF.sub.1, a second transversal filter TF.sub.2 connected to the output terminal of the first delay means DR.sub.1, second delay means DR.sub.2 which has an input terminal connected to the output terminal of the second transversal filter TF.sub.2, adder AD which has one of the input terminals connected to the output terminal of the second delay means DR.sub.2, third delay means DR.sub.3 which has an input terminal connected to the output terminal of the adder AD and an output terminal connected to the signal output terminal, and a third transversal filter TF.sub.3 which has an input terminal connected to the output terminal of the aforementioned third delay means DR.sub.3 and an output terminal connected to the other input terminal of the aforementioned adder. In this digital filter, the chain configuration of the operator that determines the time needed for one cycle of operation is a multiplier-adder chain including one multiplier and one adder in each transversal filter. Consequently, its operation time is equal to the sum of the operation times needed by one multiplier and one adder and is unrelated to the order of each transversal filter, that is, the order of the digital filter.

    • An exhaust gas recirculation system for an internal combustion engine employs a recirculation control valve in a passageway connecting the engine exhaust passage to the engine intake passage downstream from the throttle valve. An air conduit having an air control valve therein draws atmospheric air into the intake passage downstream from the throttle valve. Vacuum responsive actuators are provided for each of the control valves and they are operated by vacuum pressure controlled by a regulating valve, which regulating valve is responsive to differential pressure between vacuum intensity in the intake passage upstream from said throttle valve and modified atmospheric pressure. The modified atmospheric pressure is obtained downstream of a fixed or variable restriction in the air conduit.

    • Exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for an internal combustion engine employs a vacuum responsive control valve in a passageway connecting the engine exhaust passage to the engine intake passage downstream from the throttle valve. A unitary housing comprising a base, a body, and a cap contains an air control valve and a regulating valve each having a flexible diaphragm responsive to differential pressure. The diaphragm for the air control valve is clamped between the cap and the body, and the diaphragm for the regulating valve is clamped between the body and the base. Vacuum pressures on opposite sides of the diaphragm for the air control valve are obtained from a control pipe system and from an air conduit downstream from the air control valve. Vacuum pressures on opposite sides of the diaphragm for the regulating valve are obtained from a vacuum line and from the air conduit upstream from the air control valve. The regulating valve acts to control vacuum pressure in the control pipe system by bleeding vacuum pressure therein through a variable opening into the vacuum line.
