摘要： There is provided an image forming apparatus which adopts a distributed control system and increases the error detection accuracy of each control unit. To accomplish this, the image forming apparatus includes a master control unit that controls the overall image forming apparatus, a plurality of sub-master control units that control a plurality of functions for performing image formation, and a plurality of slave control units that control loads for implementing a plurality of functions. The master control unit determines a diagnosis path for performing a diagnosis process for an error using the signal lines and a connection bridge connected to the respective control units. The master control unit performs the diagnosis process for an error in accordance with the determined diagnosis path.

摘要： It is an object of the invention to provide a method for producing a combined optical film that includes opposing the end faces of a plurality of optical films to one another and can narrow the gap between the opposed end faces. A method for producing a combined optical film comprising a plurality of optical films each having at least one end face at which the optical films are opposed to one another, comprising the steps of: (1) opposing the end faces of the optical films to one another with a gap provided therebetween; (2) bonding a first seal material to the opposed portions of the optical films on a first side of each optical film to join the optical films; (3) bending the joined opposed portions of the optical films such that the joined opposed portions become concave on a second side of each optical film where the first seal material is not bonded and such that the gap is narrowed on the second side; (4) bonding a second seal material to the opposed portions on the second side, while the joined optical films are bent such that the gap is narrowed on the second side; and (5) cancelling the bending of the joined optical films to make them flat.

摘要： A plating method is capable of mechanically and electrochemically preferentially depositing a plated film in fine interconnect recesses such as trenches and via holes, and depositing the plated film to a flatter surface. The plating method including: disposing a substrate having fine interconnect recesses such that a conductive layer faces an anode; disposing a porous member between the substrate and the anode; filling a plating solution between the substrate and the anode; and repeating a process of holding the conductive layer and the porous member in contact with each other and moving the conductive layer and the porous member relatively to each other, a process of passing an electric current between the conductive layer and the anode while keeping the conductive layer still with respect to the porous member, and a process of stopping the supply of the electric current between the conductive layer and the anode.

摘要： An RF IC in which a PLL circuit including a loop filter is incorporated into a semiconductor chip is achieved without increasing power consumption or chip size. The RF IC includes a VCO capable of switching oscillation frequency bands, a variable frequency divider, a phase comparator, and a loop filter, which are contained in the PLL loop. A discrimination circuit discriminates a lead or lag in a phase of an output signal from the variable frequency divider against a reference signal and an automatic band selecting circuit generates a signal for switching the frequency bands of the VCO based on output from the discrimination circuit. While switching the frequency bands of the VCO by means of bisection algorithm, the RF IC detects an optimum frequency band, and adds offset to it to determine a final usable frequency band.
