    • A cutting tool is provided to process a processed member having an opening portion with a curved inner surface, so that a through hole is formed and a part of the inner surface of the opening portion corresponding to the through hole is processed. The through hole extends from a surface of the processed member to reach the opening portion. The cutting tool includes a shank member, and a processing member having a smaller diameter than the shank member. A groove portion of the processing member has a cutting edge, and a chip evacuation groove through which chip is expelled outward. A self guide portion of the processing member is arranged between the groove portion and the shank member and provided with a substantially cylindrical shape, to guide the cutting edge toward the part of the inner surface of the opening portion corresponding to the through hole in the processing.

The stepped portions (12) are formed so that a value of a tertiary spherical aberration on the recording surface (17b) of the second optical information recording medium becomes a value that makes a jitter value of a reproduction signal from the second optical information recording medium not more than 15%.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a frame generator in which no variable range of the field of a transmission frame required to measure a network is restricted by the capacity of a memory. The invention is a frame generator for outputting a transmission frame generated on the basis of a field value of a frame to a network, and comprising: a memory for storing a reference frame as a first frame of the transmission frame; a field arithmetic section for outputting an arbitrary field value of the input frame and comparing this field value and a corresponding field value of the reference frame and calculating the difference between these field values; a check sum arithmetic section for calculating a check sum generated by the difference; and a field control section for inputting the arbitrary field value and the check sum thereto and determining into which place of the transmission frame the arbitrary field value and the check sum are inserted.
