    • An ink jet printing method, including the steps of: A) providing an ink jet printer that is responsive to digital data signals; B) loading the printer with an ink jet recording element; C) loading the printer with a color ink jet ink set having: (i) a magenta ink having a carrier and a water-soluble, transition metal complex of an 8-heterocyclylazo-5-hydroxyquinoline dye; (ii) a yellow ink having a carrier and a water-soluble yellow dye; (iii) a cyan ink having a carrier and a water-soluble cyan dye; and (iv) an orange and/or green and/or violet ink having a carrier and a water-soluble orange and/or green and/or violet dye; and D) printing on the image-receiving layer using the inkjet ink set in response to the digital data signals.

    • A process of forming a diffusion resistant lenticular element: a) contacting at least one dye-donor element having a support having thereon a dye layer having an image dye in a binder having an infrared-absorbing material associated therewith, the image dye comprising a nonionic dye capable of being converted to a cationic dye with an acid, with a lenticular element having a support with a lenticular array thereon on the opposite side thereof; b) imagewise-heating the dye-donor element with a laser; c) transferring a dye image to the support of the lenticular element; d) contacting the dye image with an acidic mordanting layer; and e) heating the lenticular element to cause the nonionic dye to convert to a cationic dye which is mordanted in the acidic mordanting layer.

    • A yellow dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprises a support having thereon a dye layer comprising a mixture of yellow dyes dispersed in a polymeric binder, at least one of the yellow dyes having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group of from about 5 to about 7 carbon atoms; an allyl group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; or a substituted or unsubstituted hetaryl group of from about 5 to about 10 atoms;R.sup.2 is any of the groups for R.sup.1 or represents the atoms which when taken together with Z form a 5- or 6-membered ring;Z is hydrogen; any of the groups for R.sup.1 ; alkoxy; halogen; aryloxy; or represents the atoms which when taken together with R.sup.2 forms a 5- or 6-membered ring;each Y independently represents any of the groups for R.sup.1 ; alkoxy of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; halogen; or two adjacent Y's together represent the atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered ring, thus forming a fused ring system; andn is a positive integer from 1 to 3;and at least one of the other of the dyes having the formula: ##STR2## wherein: R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently represents the same groups as R.sup.1 above;R.sup.5 represents H, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, allyl, aryl or hetaryl group as described above for R.sup.1 ; halogen; carbamoyl; cyano; or alkoxycarbonyl;each R.sup.6 independently represents substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, allyl or hetaryl groups such as those listed above for R.sup.1 ; hydroxy, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, aminocarbonyl, aminosulfonyl, carbamoyloxy, halogen, aryl, cyano, nitro, trifluoromethyl, fluorosulfonyl, acylamido, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylthio, arylthio, alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl, alkylsulfonamido or arylsulfonamido; or two adjacent R.sup.6 's together represent the atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered fused saturated or aromatic ring;X represents CR.sup.7 or N;R.sup.7 represents the same groups as R.sup.5 ; andm is an integer from 0 to 5.
