    • A terminal for communicating with at least one communication device is disclosed. A terminal according to the present invention comprises an antenna unit having at least one antenna; and a controlling unit for: determining at least one communication device; determining an antenna individual operation mode of each of the at least one antennas; determining at least one antenna for communication with each of the at least one communication devices from among the at least one antennas; determining a combination operation mode of an antenna set which includes at least two antennas for each of some or all of the communication devices performing communication using the antenna set when communication is performed using at least two antennas for each of some or all of the at least one communication devices; and controlling transmission and reception of data with at least one communication device by using at least one antenna for communication with each of the at least one communication devices according to an antenna individual operation mode of each antenna or to the antenna individual operation mode of each antenna and a combination operation mode of an antenna set for each communication device.

    • Disclosed is a method of performing random access by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes generating at least two random access signals with their own priorities, and transmitting the at least two random access signals with their own priorities. The random access method may include transmitting at least two random access signals to at least two target communication nodes. Further, the random access method may include transmitting at least one random access signal, and selecting at least one of at least two random access response signals received in response to the at least one random access signal and performing random access control by using the selected random access response signals.

    • Methods to dynamically improve soft real-time task performance in virtualized computing environments under the management of an enhanced hypervisor comprising a credit scheduler. The enhanced hypervisor analyzes the on-going performance of the domains of interest and of the virtualized data-processing system. Based on the performance metrics disclosed herein, some of the governing parameters of the credit scheduler are adjusted. Adjustments are typically performed cyclically, wherein the performance metrics of an execution cycle are analyzed and adjustments may be applied in a later execution cycle. In alternative embodiments, some of the analysis and tuning functions are in a separate application that resides outside the hypervisor. The performance metrics disclosed herein include: a “total-time” metric; a “timeslice” metric; a number of “latency” metrics; and a “count” metric. In contrast to prior art, the present invention enables on-going monitoring of a virtualized data-processing system accompanied by dynamic adjustments based on objective metrics.
