    • In automatic focus controlling of a camera, a method for controlling focusing areas of the camera is performed by setting a supervisory area in the center of a subject area picked up by an optical system; setting plural variable areas into an outer periphery of the supervisory area; and detecting the subject to perform the auto focusing while performing area variation to the variable areas, unless the subject is detected while constantly observing the supervisory area. An apparatus for executing the method is also provided, enhancing precision of the auto focusing to the main subject in the case of multiple subjects, continuously tracking the auto focusing of the subject that moves to the outer peripheral side of the center of the picture, and improving the tracking property of the center area when varying the picture areas.

    • Disclosed is a motor stator assembly comprising: a plurality of yokes manufactured by laminating a plurality of steel sheets having a predetermined length; and a plurality of poles engaged between the yokes and formed by molding magnetic material in a mold, on which coil is wound. In the assembly, material loss can be reduced at the time of blanking operation, and additional protector is not required. According to this, a winding radius of coil is reduced thus to reduce coil amount on the basis of a constant number of times of winding. Also, by using magnetic powder material and silicon steel, productivity is enhanced and motor efficiency is enhanced.

    • A method for performing communication between a base station and a mobile station through a designated channel is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting an access parameter message including fields indicating preamble duration and slot duration having a length of a multiple of given slot duration from the base station to the mobile station, the base station previously knowing each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration; transmitting a control message including fields indicating a designated channel number and a data rate from the base station to the mobile station over a common channel; receiving, in the mobile station, the control message and transmitting to the base station an access probe including a preamble having the preamble duration and a succeeding response message beginning at one of the start time points of the slots having the multiple slot duration at the data rate through a designated channel associated with the designated channel number in the control message; and determining in the base station whether the preamble of the access probe is received, beginning at each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration.
