    • An acoustic resonance device is installed in a compartment of a vehicle so as to reduce a low-frequency sound pressure (or noise) dependent upon a natural vibration. Specifically, an acoustic resonance device is a panel/diaphragm resonator, a resonance pipe, or a Helmholtz resonator, the inner space of which communicates with the compartment via an opening. The acoustic resonance device is positioned in proximity to an antinode of sound pressure owing to a natural vibration occurring in a driver/passenger space inside the compartment. Alternatively, the acoustic resonance device increases a particle velocity at a specific natural frequency or decreases sound pressure at an excitation frequency which occurs due to an external condition of the vehicle. The acoustic resonance device can be installed in a roof, a seat, a pillar supporting the roof, or a door of a vehicle.

    • The method of producing a film includes the steps of: casting a dope prepared by dissolving a macromolecular material in a solvent on a casting band; stripping the cast dope from the casting band to form a film; subjecting the stripped film to tentering to stretch or regulate the same in its width direction; and subjecting the tentered film to roll drying to dry the film while conveying the same in such a manner that it engages with a plurality of rolls, the method being characterized in that the solvent content in the film at the beginning of roll drying after tentering is kept within the range of 3 to 8% by weight, the surface temperature of the film during the roll drying is kept within the range of the film's Tg (glass transition temperature) −15° C. to the Tg, and the rate of the film expansion in the film conveying direction is kept within the range of −2% to 3%. Thus, the method enables both wrinkles and cast non-uniformity occurring on the film surface to be improved utilizing the tentering and roll drying steps of the conventional solvent casting method without any modifications, while avoiding the decrease in productivity.

The cartridge body 20 comprises opposite side walls 2b, 2c formed in parallel to the direction of insertion of the cartridge into a disk player and a front wall 2a facing toward the direction of insertion, and has a shutter 3 slidable along the side wall 2b for exposing the signal bearing surface of the disk 21. The front wall 2a is in the form of a curved wall or polygonal wall having a central portion formed in the closest proximity to the outer periphery of the disk 21 and opposite side portions formed as retracted toward a direction opposite to the direction of insertion. The front wall thus shaped renders the cartridge body 20 compacted and readily indicates to the user the direction of insertion into the disk player.
