摘要： The invention is a digital radiation detector utilizing the stable timing functions of a microcontroller or plurality of microcontrolling devices to perform three independent functions. A first timer generates a continuous square wave output that is fed through a class B amplifier to yield a stable, drift-free power supply for a connected radiation sensor. A second timer is used as an event counter for counting the processed pulses coming from the radiation sensor. A third timer acts as a real time clock generating a one-second interrupt for quantifying the number of counts per second. The number of counts per second can be communicated as raw data through a communication interface or presented as a number of audible or visual displays.

The enclosure includes a top portion formed from an air-impermeable material and a bottom portion formed from an air-impermeable material. One of the top portion and the bottom portion includes an opening configured to be coupled to an air mover. The top portion includes a plurality of holes for allowing air to move between the trim cover and the enclosure. The spacer is located within the enclosure and includes a plurality of resilient fibers disposed between an upper and lower netting layer. The spacer defines an air space within the enclosure that allows for the movement of air in any direction through the enclosure. The spacer is sufficiently stiff to maintain the flow of air through the enclosure when the seat is occupied. The cushion supports the enclosure.

The electrical connector reduces the quantity of loose parts during transmission assembly. The nuts, being nonrotatably connected to the isolator, which in turn is affixed with respect to a motor housing, are able to accept torque from bolts without assisted retention.

摘要： The invention provides a transmission case that includes a rear housing that partially encloses transmission components about a center axis. The rear housing sealingly connects to a main housing at one end and to a drive unit extension at another end. The rear housing has an axial passage generally parallel to the center axis and a cross passage that is substantially perpendicular to the axial passage. The cross passage is in fluid communication with the axial passage to allow draining of fluid within the drive unit extension to the main housing. A method of returning fluid to a transmission oil sump is also provided.

摘要： A basement wall repair system and method employs columns mounted vertically across the failed section of the wall. The columns are mounted at their top ends to the sill plate and the ceiling members, or joists, of the building and at their bottom ends to the building floor. An angle is installed on the side of the sill plate along the length of the sill plate. A threaded member is installed on the angle at each point at which a column will be mounted. Each column has an opening through which a threaded member is inserted. A nut is threaded onto the end of the threaded member and tightened against the column to cause the column to exert force against the failed section of the wall to stabilize the wall. The earth outside the wall can be excavated upon installation of the system to allow tightening of the nut until the wall is at or nearly at its original position. Shelving can be provided, if desired, on the columns.

摘要： A drawer refrigerator, including an evaporator, compressor and condenser, has a partitioned cabinet with two vertically stacked pull-out drawers having drawer bins. A single evaporator is located adjacent both drawer cavities and is partitioned to keep the temperature in both drawer bins approximately equal. The pull-out drawers can have a bottle bin with recesses holding the necks of wine, soda or like bottles. The bottle bin slides on the top edges of the drawer bin at its sides and can be moved front to back. The pull-out drawers can have an underside compartment opening at both sides of the drawer containing a removable storage bin. The pull-out drawers can also have an adjustable divider fence with pairs of lateral and transverse divider rods extending between the side walls and between the door panels and the rear walls of the drawer bins. The rods are coupled by a hub having a hand operated screw knob for locking the position of the fence.

摘要： An improved process for determining the presence of water in a material is disclosed. A set of electrodes is placed on the surface of a layer of the material being monitored, and an electric field is established therebetween. The phase angle for the electric field at a pre-selected frequency is measured, and compared with a predetermined phase angle for a dry portion of the material. A significant difference between the phase angle for the material being monitored and the predetermined phase angle is indicative of the presence of water in the material. The material being monitored may be an electrical insulating material, e.g., for conductive components in water-cooled electrical generators. Electrical generators monitored in this manner are also within the scope of this disclosure.
