摘要： A reactor plate assembly which serves as an anvil for a plastic fastener dispensing device comprises a reactor plate and a brush assembly mounted on the reactor plate. The reactor plate includes a top surface, a bottom surface and an opening therethrough. The brush assembly includes a high density polyethylene mounting block having a top surface, a bottom surface and a recess formed in the top surface. The brush assembly also includes and a plurality of nylon brush filaments which are coupled to and extend out from the recess in the mounting block. The brush assembly is mounted on the bottom surface of the reactor plate by screws so that a portion of the plurality of filaments protrudes into the opening in said reactor plate with the free ends of plurality of filaments being flush with the top surface of the reactor plate.

摘要： A loop fastener well-suited for attaching tags to articles of commerce. In one embodiment, the loop fastener comprises a flexible filament having a first end and a second end. In addition, the loop fastener comprises a socket, the socket having a top surface, a bottom surface and a side surface, the side surface being generally octagonal in shape and having a front end. The socket is also shaped to include a channel and a circumferential flange, the channel being generally circular in transverse cross-section and extending from the top surface to the bottom surface, the flange extending partially into the channel and being shaped to include an arcuate surface extending convexly downwardly from the top surface. The first end of the flexible filament is joined both to the top surface and the front end of the socket, the flexible filament extending away from the socket generally perpendicularly relative to the channel. The loop fastener further comprises an inserting element disposed at the second end of the flexible filament, the inserting element including a plug insertable into the channel and past the flange, the plug being engageable with the flange after the plug has been inserted therepast so as to keep the plug from being easily withdrawn back past the flange.

摘要： Method of maintaining an article of clothing, such as a dress shirt, in a folded condition and a plastic fastener well-suited for use in the method. According to one embodiment, the plastic fastener is a unitary structure made of polypropylene and comprises a flexible filament having a first cross-bar at a first end thereof and a second cross-bar at a second end thereof. The filament has a length of about 7 mm and has a tensile strength of about 4 pounds. Preferably, the fastener is molded as part of a clip, the clip comprising a plurality of identical such fasteners arranged side-by-side, with the respective first cross-bars parallel to one another and the respective second cross-bars parallel to one another, each of the first cross-bars being joined to a common, orthogonally-disposed runner bar by a severable connector. In use, the clip is loaded into a tagging gun of the type intended for use with runner bar-type clips, the dress shirt is folded in the desired manner, and the first cross-bar of a fastener is dispensed by the tagging gun into and completely through the folded shirt at an appropriate pair of locations, with the second cross-bar not being inserted into the dress shirt. Additional fasteners may be used, where desired, in the same manner to ensure that the shirt remains folded in other areas thereof. To unfold the shirt, one merely pulls apart the two portions of the shirt folded together until the filament of the fastener connecting the two portions breaks.

The transmission gate (24) contains a transistor (30) which is an N-channel transistor and a transistor (28) which is a P-channel transistor. The transistors (28 and 30) are electrically connected in parallel. The use of the transmission gate (24) as a select gate allows reads and writes to occur to a memory cell storage device (i.e. a capacitor (32), a floating gate (22), etc.) without a significant voltage drop occurring across the transmission gate. In addition, EEPROM technology is more compatible with EPROM/flash technology when using a transmission gate as a select gate within EEPROM devices.
