    • A polyamide moulding composition in particular for use for components in the drinking water sector, made of the following constituents: (A) from 25 to 74.9% by weight of at least one semicrystalline, semiaromatic nylon-6,T/6,I, composed of: (a1) from 65 to 82 mol % of terephthalic acid, based on the entirety of the dicarboxylic acids used; (a2) from 18 to 35 mol % of isophthalic acid, based on the entirety of the dicarboxylic acids used; (a3) 1,6-diaminohexane; (a4) at least one monobasic carboxylic acid; (a5) a phosphorus compound; with the first proviso that the molar ratio of the component (a3) to the entirety of the dicarboxylic acids used ((a1)+(a2)) is at least 1.04 and at most 1.15; and with the second proviso that the molar ratio of the component (a4) to the component (a3) is in the range from 0.01 to 0.08; (B) from 25 to 60% by weight of fibrous reinforcing materials; (C) from 0 to 30% by weight of particulate fillers; (D) from 0.1 to 2.0% by weight of heat stabilizers, with the proviso that no copper-containing stabilizers are present therein; (E) from 0 to 2% by weight of carbon black; (F) from 0 to 4% by weight of auxiliaries and/or additives differing from C, D and E; where the entirety of the components (A)-(F) makes up 100% by weight.

    • Flame-retardant polyamide molding material for sheathing optical waveguides/cables, includes: (A) 40-71 wt.-% copolyamide MACMI/12; (B) 20-51 wt.-% of at least one aliphatic polyamide; (C) 6-20 wt.-% melamine cyanurate; (D) 3-10 wt.-% aryl phosphate; and (E) 0-6 wt.-% further additives. Components total 100 wt.-% of polyamide molding material. Copolyamide a MACMI/12 has laurin lactam content of 23-45 mol-% in relation to molar sum of monomers MACM, isophthalic acid, and laurin lactam of this copolyamide. Isophthalic acid in copolyamide MACMI/12 can be entirely/partially replaced by terephthalic acid. Test specimen produced from this polyamide molding material has Shore hardness D of at least 77, and buckling test using PA12 extrudate coated with this molding material is passed upon winding around metal rod having 12 mm diameter. PA12 extrudate for buckling test has diameter of 1.5 mm and coating 0.7 mm thick. Optical waveguides/cables sheaths made of this polyamide molding material have bite-inhibiting effect in relation to rodents.

    • A polyamide moulding composition for the production of a stain-resistant article, the staining tendency (ST) of the article being at most 15. The composition contains 30-100% by weight of a polyamide mixture, consisting of more than 50 and up to 98% by weight of at least one semi-aromatic polyamide comprising 2 to up to 50% by weight of amorphous and/or microcrystalline polyamides having a glass transition temperature of at least 100° C., based on: 20-100 mol % of at least one cycloaliphatic diamine; and 0-80 mol % of at least one other aliphatic and/or aromatic diamine; and also aromatic and/or aliphatic dicarboxylic acids comprising at least 6 carbon atoms. In addition, the composition comprises inorganic white pigments. fibrous or particulate additives, impact toughness modifier and/or polymers different from (A), 0-25% by weight of a flame retardant.
