摘要： In the particular embodiments of the invention described in the specification, a projection transparency includes a transparent substrate and an ink pattern disposed on one surface of the transparent sheet in the form of three-dimensional ink spots having curved surfaces with a radius of curvature of at least 3 mils and an angle of contact with the substrate of no more than about 25.degree.. The transparency is prepared by applying ink drops to the substrate and maintaining the ink at a temperature above its melting point for a selected time such as 0.5 to 10 seconds. Thereafter, the ink is cooled rapidly to reduce crystallization and frosting and thereby reduce light transmission losses in the ink to less than 50%.

摘要： An overhead projector which has a stage for supporting an original thereon comprises an optical system for collecting light to the entrance pupil of a projection lens and a movable mirror for directing light from an illumination light source to an optical system.The movable mirror is movable with the movement of the projection lens parallel to the plane of the stage for placing an original thereon so that trapezoidal distortion and loss of focus which occur when the projection lens projects an image at an oblique angle are avoided. A method for projecting an image also is disclosed and includes directing incident light to a liquid crystal device capable of affecting or not affecting such incident light, and selectively projecting light affected or not affected by such liquid crystal device to form an image. The projected light may be colored, for example using a selectively operable liquid crystal filter and/or a liquid crystal display that colors light incident thereon.

摘要： A picture plate changer for changing pictures projected with a large scale picture projector, e.g., overhead type projectors projecting a single picture from an entire picture plate. A magazine stores the picture plates as a stack of flat plates or plexiglass each placed in horizontal slots or tracks in the changer. The stack of plates are vertically shiftable to selected disposition so that a desired entire picture is accurately indexed to a location just above the level of the projector plate and interconnectors on each frame selectively cooperate with a mechanism which can engage and shift a selected picture and frame from the magazine to the projector and back. Power mechanisms and control means are shown to enable selection and operation of the changer in a pre-determined manner. Devices on the changer and the picture plates assure accurate positioning for projectors.
