    • A protective cover assembly for covering a space defined by at least one wall. The protective cover assembly includes a plurality of rails coupled to one another to form a frame for securing a material over the space. At least one support bow spans the space to support the material. Clamp mechanisms are coupled to the ends of the support bow for securing the protective cover over the space. The clamp mechanisms include a latch member for engaging the wall and a handle for biasing the latch member against the wall. The clamp further includes a shaft for interconnecting the support bow to the frame. A collar is disposed over the shaft for guiding the handle and the latch member between an operational position and a stowed position along the shaft.

    • A device and method for forming an indented female connector where the dimension of the indented female connector provides for removing a male molding component without damaging a set of internal ribs formed inside the female connector. A structure comprising an indented female blow-molded connector having a first wall having a top surface and a thickness, with the first wall surrounding an opening. At least one inner wall extends substantially perpendicular to the first wall and borders the opening. At least one rib is formed in the inner wall. A bottom wall is joined to the inner wall and the distance from the rib to the top surface is greater than the thickness of the first wall. The structure further comprising a male connector having a contact edge that, when positioned inside the indented female blow-molded connector, engage the at least one rib, such that the male connector and indented female blow-molded connector are releaseably joinable with one another. Structures can be made that use the indented female blow molded connectors and male connectors.

    • A fastener for fastening at least two work pieces together comprises a body and a pin. The body has a head, a shaft extending from the head and an open hollow core extending into the shaft. The shaft has a retaining means spaced from the head to accommodate the work pieces. The retaining mechanism has a contracted configuration where it is sized to pass through holes in the work pieces and an expanded configuration where it is expanded in size or spacing such that the shaft is unable to be removed from the holes in the work pieces. The retaining mechanism defines a constriction in the core at which the core has a first width when the retaining mechanism is in its contracted configuration. The pin is locatable in the core. The pin has a least a first portion with an external width greater than the first width of the core. The pin is movable within the core and is arranged to cause the retaining mechanism to change to the expanded configuration as the first portion of the pin moves into contact with the constriction.

    • An EA component and an attachment structure thereof capable of absorbing a positional error between a projection or the like on a side of a component such as a trim or the like, and a clip of the EA component. An EA component 1 is the one in which a clip 4 is integrally formed with an EA component body 3 formed from hard urethane foam via an elastically deformable component 20. The elastically deformable component 20 is provided with a hole 21 where a tubular portion 6 of a clip 4 made of hard synthetic resin is inserted, shallow and round concave portions 22 respectively provided in both end surfaces, and a slot 23. When the EA component 1 is attached to a trim 2, even when a projection 8 and the tubular portion 6 of the clip 4 are deviated to some degree in position, the EA component 1 can be attached to the trim 2 while allowing the positions of the projection 8 and the tubular portion 6 to be in alignment with each other, because the clip 4 can be moved in a direction along a plate surface of the trim 2 in a manner so as to push and shorten the elastically deformable component 20.
