摘要： A system for the secure transportation of articles such as cheques and bank notes comprises first and second docking stations at different locations, and a secure container which mates with the docking stations. The container has a number of lockable doors into which bank notes are fed by a feeder mechanism at the first docking station. The container has its own microcontroller which monitors the status of the doors and the integrity of the container, and which can respond to external control signals while it is in transit. Once the container has been loaded at one docking station, it is transported to the second docking station at a different location, where it can be unloaded. A one-time code is generated each time the container is loaded, and must be communicated to the second docking station before the container can be unloaded. Any attempt to tamper with the container while it is in transit results in the activation of a dye dispenser, which marks the contents of the container.

摘要： A credit card security device which prevents credit card and bank card fraud. The device includes a case with an access door secured by a lock for storing the cards and a detection member within the case for determining an entry into the case when the door is locked. The detection member operates an electromagnet within the case upon the entry. The electromagnet scrambles the code within each credit card's magnetic strip and thereby invalidates the credit cards for future use. The detection member comprises a normally open electrical circuit when the door is closed and locked and includes switches for providing a current flow to the invalidating electromagnet upon the entry. At least one such switch is a normally open pressure switch mounted in wall of the case which closes when the entry to the case is through the wall, thereby providing the current flow to the electromagnet. Another switch is associated with the lock and is open when the lock is unlocked, thereby precluding a current flow through the circuit, and which closes if the door is forcibly opened while locked, thereby providing the current flow to the electromagnet.

At least one spongy element placed close to the edges of the banknotes which are stacked on edge in the enclosure with which is associated a tank for defacing liquid. Upon the occurrence of a breach the defacing liquid soaks the spongy element which engages the upper cut edges of the banknotes to allow the defacing liquid to migrate on and between the cut edges of these banknotes stored within the enclosure. The device is particularly applicable to cash boxes for automatic bank bills dispensers.

摘要： A carrying case, having a hinged lid, is provided with a handle and locks. Within the interior of the case and hingedly connected to the case is a liner, within which are stored sensitive papers. A thermite charge is within a removable boat in the liner and has igniters electrically connected, through a selectively positionable key operated switch, to a battery and through various switch members so that the igniters are triggered upon the occurrence of and one of various events. One switch member is on the handle and is depressed when carrying the case. Other switch members are closed upon tilting; still other switch members are closed if a knife is passed through the exterior of the container. Still other switches are closed in the event that a knife is inserted to prize open the case or the case is opened without being disarmed.Upon the making of an electrical circuit, the igniters ignite the thermite charge to burn or char the papers, the gases escaping through an opening in the lid of the case.

摘要： A piece of luggage in the form of an attache case is equipped with destruct means for destroying the contents therein in response to an intentionally given signal. The interior of the case comprises a compartment in the form of a metallic box with a cover, which box when closed serves as a combustion chamber to incinerate the contents therein when so desired. Fuel and electric igniter means are placed within the box and ignition current is supplied by a power pack housed in the attache case. A heat insulation barrier surrounds the box and prevents transfer of combustion heat to the walls of the attache case. The circuit interconnecting the electric power pack and the igniter means includes a number of normally open switches arranged in series; all of which must be closed to initiate and start the destruct cycle. One switch is closed in response to closure of the attache case, and others may be deliberately closed by key means or the like. The final switch is closed by a pushbutton in the vicinity of the attache case handle, whereby the carrier of the case may set off the destruct cycle by manipulating the pushbutton with a finger of the hand around the handle.
