    • Multi-type air conditioner including an outdoor unit installed outside of a room having a compressor and an outdoor unit mounted therein, a plurality of indoor units each installed in a room having an electronic expansion valve and an indoor heat exchanger, a distributor for separating refrigerant from the outdoor unit at a gas-liquid separator and guiding separated refrigerant to the plurality of indoor units selectively depending on operation conditions, a first connection pipe for guiding the refrigerant from the outdoor unit to the gas-liquid separator in the distributor, a second connection pipe for guiding the refrigerant from the distributor to the outdoor unit, and a switching part in the outdoor unit having a first four way valve provided to a discharge side of the compressor for selective switching of a flow direction of the refrigerant flowing in the outdoor heat exchanger, and a second four way valve provided to be switched in conformity with switching of the first four way valve for maintaining the first connection pipe as a high pressure section high pressure refrigerant flows therein, and the second connection pipe as a low pressure section low pressure refrigerant flows therein, thereby permitting optimal dealing with individual room conditions.

    • A heat pump type air conditioning system (A) for an automotive vehicle. The heat type air conditioning system (A) comprises a first unit (10) including a heater core (11) through which an engine coolant of an engine flows, and a first heat exchanger (12) which forms part of a refrigeration cycle including a compressor (1) and a first condenser (3), in which a refrigerant circulates in the refrigeration cycle. A second unit (20) is provided including a second condenser (21) and a second heat exchanger (22) which are fluidly connected in parallel with the first heat exchanger (12). A valve (V2) is fluidly connected in series with the second condenser (21) and disposed such that a part of the refrigerant is introduced through the valve into the second condenser (21) and the second heat exchanger (22). A sub-heat exchanger (30) is disposed outside the first and second units and fluidly connected in series with the second heat exchanger (22), in which the refrigerant flowing from the second heat exchanger (22) is introduced into the sub-heat exchanger to be heated by a part of the engine coolant, the refrigerant discharged from the sub-heat exchanger being returned to the compressor. An electromagnetic clutch (40) is provided such that the compressor (1) is drivably connectable with the engine therethrough. The electromagnetic clutch is engaged to establish a driving connection between the compressor so as to operate the compressor and disengaged to cut the driving connection so as to make the compressor inoperative. A control device (C) is operatively connected to the electromagnetic clutch (40) for controlling the electromagnetic clutch to be disengageable in accordance with a temperature within the air conditioning system (A).

    • A refrigerating cycle system for a refrigerator has a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber. The refrigerating cycle system includes a compressor, a condenser, first and second expansion devices, a first evaporator for cooling the freezing chamber by evaporating the refrigerant that is reduced in pressure by the first and second expansion devices, and a second evaporator for cooling the refrigerating chamber. A fluid passage is provided for directly conducting the refrigerant from the condenser to the first evaporator. Another fluid passage is provided for directing the refrigerant from the condenser to the first evaporator via the second evaporator. A direction control valve is disposed between those two fluid passages to selectively direct the refrigerant to one of those fluid passages as a function of a sensed temperature of the refrigerating chamber.
