摘要： A torque reducer assembly including a ball screw assembly and a plunger gear assembly with a low torque allowing a single user to operate a hand wheel to open or close a valve under very high pressure without need of gear reduction and a balance stem. A gear shaft, ball screw, valve stem and gate are fixed from rotation with respect to each other but move axially together in response to rotation of a ball screw nut in the ball screw assembly. The plunger gear assembly rotates with the ball screw nut. In the engaged position, a plunger prevents rotation of the ball screw nut in the valve open direction but permits rotation of the ball screw nut in the valve close direction. In the disengaged position, the plunger permits rotation of the ball screw nut in the valve open direction and the valve close direction.

摘要： The force limited valve actuator operates on light-duty valves. The actuator includes signal controlled motor which drives a two piece threaded screw-nut drive. The nut connected to the motor and the screw connected to the valve stem. The nut has a spring loaded actuation surface/plate. The nut body has a positional indicator stem used as a valve-motor control. Operationally, the screw-nut-set moves between first, second and third positions. First: actuation plate at neutral and valve-stem at valve OPEN stop (example). Second: screw protrudes outboard of nut and valve-stem at CLOSE stop and actuation plate at neutral. Third: plate moves away from valve-stem (beyond neutral) while stem at CLOSE which third movement is a force sensor. First, second and third positions are all one way screw rotation. Force limited on stem by damper-shock absorber action. The positional indicator effects ON-OFF valve control.

The actuating apparatus also includes an adapter assembly in the actuator body having a threaded end that engages the actuator stem, and a profiled end distal from the threaded end that engages the profile on the valve stem and couples to the valve stem, so that selectively applying axial forces to the adapter assembly moves the valve stem and the valve member.
