摘要： The guide has a four sided cam, and a face of the cam engages the marginal side edge of a sheet placed on a work table. A square rod is slidably received in an axial opening in the cam, to be clamped in a predetermined position for scoring parallel the sheet edge. The rod is adapted to be inserted in four different orientations, with the result that the scoring tool is located at four different heights above the work table. This geometry sheets of four different thickness to be conveniently scored to a predetermined depth. A second rod holds a second tool suitable for scoring a second material.

摘要： A jig in the form of two fairly rigid plates, with clips, of magnetically attractable material positioned next to each other with two of their side front edges adjacent and the rear portions of said sides cut away. The forward part of said adjacent edges are optionally bent slightly upwards. The bottom of each plate, towards the front, is attached to an extension piece by a hinge and the bottom of said extension piece contains a strip extending longitudinally behind the plates with a magnet at each end spaced so that they magneticallly attract, without contacting, the plates when the clips hold a sheet of glass and the plates are about horizontally extended. The extension piece is provided with a front section on which an elongated bar is adjustably attached, said bar having a slot to guide a glass cutting tool and extending forward over said adjacent edges of the plates. The extension piece contains resilient material under the adjacent edges, bearing up against said edges when the plates hold the sheet of glass and are horizontallly extended.

Means are provided for accommodating the apparatus selectively for scoring and breaking the glass blocks perpendicularly and diagonally. Mechanisms are also provided for determining the length of the score mark to be produced upon the glass block by the glass cutting wheel in the apparatus. Torsion bar means are further included for yieldably and retractably applying the cutting wheel with controlled force to the glass block for scoring the latter prior to the breaking operation.

摘要： A wall mounted sheet supporting structure includes a horizontal squaring bar, and a near vertical elongated anvil, both the bar and the anvil being joined together by a gusset plate, and the resulting structure being readily attached to a wall by means of a web shaped bracket behind the anvil, and a smaller Z-shaped bracket spaced from the anvil along the squaring bar. Two guide rods are mounted parallel to but spaced in front of the elongated anvil, and a manually movable cross-head is slidably mounted on these rods. A scoring device is provided in the head for scoring the sheet along a line over the anvil. The scoring device is resiliently mounted in the head on a rocker arm assembly which includes a cutting knife for scoring plastic, and a glass cutting wheel for scoring glass. The cutting force can be varied within two discrete ranges, a much larger force being available for cutting plastic than that provided for cutting glass.
