摘要： There is provided herein a polyolefin composition comprising a polyolefin and a flame retardant effective amount of a solid phosphate ester of the general formula (1): wherein n has an average value of from about 1.0 to about 2.0 and X is a divalent arylene moiety bonded to both of the oxygen atoms of any one of hydroquinone, resorcinol, 4,4′-biphenol, bisphenol S, or bisphenol F, and wherein the phosphate ester is in the absence of halogen. There is also provided a method of making the polyolefin composition. This fire retardant polyolefin composition is particularly useful in polypropylene fiber and films and foams.

摘要： A wet wipe comprises a nonwoven material. The nonwoven material comprises a fibrous material and a binder composition. The binder composition includes a cationic ion-sensitive emulsion polymer, which can comprise the emulsion polymerization product of at least one hydrophobic monomer which has been stabilized by a solution-polymerization-derived cationic ion-sensitive polymer stabilizer. In some aspects, a solution-polymerization-derived cationic ion-sensitive polymer binder can be solution blended with the already-formed cationic ion-sensitive emulsion polymer to provide additional benefits. In other aspects, the solution-polymerization-derived cationic ion-sensitive polymer binder is the same as the s-solution-polymerization-derived cationic ion-sensitive polymer stabilizer.

摘要： The present invention features a method for preparing core-shell nanoparticles supported on carbon. In particular, the present invention features a method for preparing core-shell nanoparticles supported on carbon, including: dispersing core nanoparticle powder supported on carbon in ethanol; adding a metal precursor which forms a shell and hydroquinone thereto; and mixing and reducing the same. Preferably, the disclosed method for preparing core-shell nanoparticles supported on carbon enables coating of transition metal nanoparticles including platinum on the surface of core metal nanoparticles at a monolayer level. Prepared core-shell nanoparticles of the present invention may be useful as catalysts or electrode materials of fuel cells.

摘要： Tooling aids for applying pressure in laminating, and methods for their use, are described herein. In one embodiment, a caul for applying pressure in laminating includes a base portion positioned between first and second corner portions. The base portion can have a curved shape when it is in a relaxed state, but it moves to a flatter shape when subjected to pressure during lamination. Movement of the base portion to the flatter shape causes the first and second corner portions to move outwardly and away from the base portion. In this manner, the caul can be used to compact laminating materials into corner regions of a corresponding female mold surface.

The desiccant device includes a pouch formed of a laminate layer. The laminate layer includes a thin, non-permeable monolithic membrane laminated to a porous media. The thin, non-permeable monolithic membrane is thin enough to allow a desired vapor to pass there-through by molecular diffusion, but does not include any voids, pores or holes that would allow gas, liquid or solid to permeate there-through. Since the permeable membrane only passes vapor by molecular diffusion, it prohibits any dust fibers or other contamination from emitting from the desiccant device and thereby prevents contamination of the electronic device such as the disk drive.
