摘要： The present disclosure is directed to embodiments of catheter-based prosthetic heart valves. In one embodiment, a prosthetic heart valve includes a collapsible and expandable annular frame, a leaflet assembly mounted within the annular frame, a first skirt mounted on the frame, and a second skirt mounted on the frame. The frame includes a plurality of rows of cells. The leaflet assembly includes a plurality of leaflets. Adjacent leaflets are connected to each other to form commissures, each of which is connected to a cell of an outflow row of cells of the frame. Inflow end portions of the leaflets are sutured to an outflow end portion of the first skirt along undulating suture line.

摘要： A method of installing a liner assembly for pipeline repair or reinforcement includes: pulling a prepared liner assembly into position in the pipeline, the liner assembly including an outer tubular liner and an inner inflatable bladder positioned longitudinally within the tubular liner, the tubular liner being wetted with a curable compound; introducing fluid into the inflatable bladder so that the inflatable bladder expands to bring the tubular liner into firm contact with an interior surface of the pipeline; flowing the fluid continuously through the bladder and discharging the fluid into the pipeline, while maintaining the liner assembly in an inflated condition for a time period sufficient for the tubular liner to cure; and deflating the inflatable bladder and retrieving at least a portion of the liner assembly from the pipeline.

摘要： A ducting and associated method is provide in which the ducting includes a pipe with a thermoplastic or thermoplastic elastomeric layer and a reinforcing layer. The pipe has a curved or bent geometry and the reinforcing layer is made of a composite material based on reinforcement in intimate and direct contact with the subjacent layer. The geometry is obtained by hot forming the inner layer to give the geometry, and the reinforcement is either impregnated with a thermosetting matrix to form a thermosetting composite, or reinforcing fibers are intermixed with thermoplastic fibers or powders, or impregnated with a plastic polymeric coating that is curable chemically. Alternatively, the inner layer is first covered with the reinforcing layer in which the reinforcement includes reinforcing fibers intermixed with a thermoplastic material in the form of fibers, film or powder is blow-molded to give the pipe its final geometry.

摘要： A form of folded thermoplastic pipe is disclosed for use in repairing a pipeline. Also disclosed are methods and apparatuses especially for installing the thermoplastic pipe in an existing underground pipeline, such as a service lateral, having access from only one end and a bend along its length. The thermoplastic pipe is manufactured in folded form so as to have a folded memory, and spooled for storage in such form. The folded pipe is reheated to make it pliable for installation, and is pulled into the lateral from the access opening using a cable-and-pulley arrangement anchored temporarily at the intersection of lateral and main pipelines. When the folded pipe is installed in the lateral, it is rounded and cured in its rounded shape by passing steam under pressure through passages along the folds of the pipe while its leading end is restricted. The leading end may be restricted by an end clamp which enables a hot fluid to pass completely through the pipe and thus heat it full length, or by an inflatable plug. The inflatable plug may be folded within the thermoplastic pipe before the pipe's insertion and then inflated to plug the leading end of the new pipe after its insertion. Alternatively, the inflatable plug may be propelled to the leading end of the new pipe after its insertion and then fully inflated to block such end and thereby enable full rounding and expansion of the remainder of the new pipe.

摘要： A thermoplastic liner for installation in an existing conduit is manufactured in folded form and spooled for storage. The liner is then reheated to make it pliable for installation and pulled into the conduit. Steam under pressure is used to round the installed pipe. The leading end of the liner may be restricted by an end clamp which enables hot fluid to pass completely through the pipe and heat the full length, or by an inflatable plug which is displaced to the leading end of the liner after installation. Methods and apparatus for the manufacturing of the liner include extruding heated thermoplastic pipe material through a die to form a tubular shape, shaping the extruded tubular plastic material to the folded form and cooling to provide a liner with a memory for the folded form.

The pipe is then expanded by passing a heated fluid into a pipe, or by the use of an inflatable plug or rounding device. This ability to remove an installed length of replacement pipe allows for removal of a replacement pipe which is damaged.

The method comprises forming a plurality of concentric flexible tubes of a thermoplastic polymer, such tubes being capable of being bonded together under the influence of heat and pressure. The plurality of concentric tubes is inserted into a section of metallic pipe that is to be lined. The tubes are then heated, especially under pressure e.g. using steam, to cause the tubes to bond together to form a single tube lining the pipe. Adhesives may be used to facilitate bonding. The method is particularly useful in the lining of metallic pipe that has bends, loops or the like.

摘要： This relates to a lined container, preferably of the fibre drum type, wherein the lining is extruded as an open ended tube and is initially adhered to the bottom or end wall of the container to seal the tube after which the tube is first inflated and blown across the end wall and is then blown within the container so as to conform to the interior configuration of the container body. The tube is formed by an extruder, and/or accumulator capable of intermittent extrusion with therebeing relative movement between a die associated with the extruder and the container during the extrusion of the tube, and after the entire interior of the container has been lined, there is associated with the die and the container a mold which upon further extrusion of the tube and the blowing of air within the tube the tube either may be caused to fold around the exterior free end portion of the container so as to form therearound or may be shaped to define a flange which is later draped around the container free end portion. In the case of a fibre drum, the formed or draped portion of the liner protects the metal reinforcing ring in the chime area against corrosion.
