摘要： Systems and methods for using biometrics to select music preference are provided. A system for using biometrics to select music preferences for a user in a vehicle, comprises a music selection module electrically coupled to at least one biometric sensor in the vehicle, wherein the at least one biometric sensor senses a characteristic of the user and outputs data for the sensed characteristic to the music selection module, and wherein the music selection module selects a music selection for the user based on the sensed characteristic data, and a controller module electrically coupled to the music selection module to control playing of the music selection, wherein the controller module receives an output including the music selection from the music selection module.

摘要： Mental abilities are labeled with terms such as memory & problem solving and corresponding performance measures (recall score, # correct) can be obtained. The quantitative EEG (QEEG) measure of brain functioning reflects the electrophysiology of the gray & white matter of the brain underlying the scalp. A database of clinical and non-clinical participants underwent a cognitive activation QEEG to determine the relations between the QEEG measures and cognitive performance for memory (auditory and reading) and problem solving. The analysis revealed correlative (positive and negative) relationships between cognitive performance and the Quantitative EEG (QEEG) measures (coherence, phase, magnitude, etc.) during these cognitive activation conditions. An individual can undergo an evaluation and the subject's values on the relevant (and all) variables can be determined. The deficient QEEG variables can be effectively changed with an operant biofeedback conditioning methodology called EEG biofeedback. The method has been shown to improve memory functioning.

摘要： A forehead-wearable light stimulator having one or more light pipes provides reliable light stimulation to a user. The stimulation can have high intensity and multiple colors. The intensity of the stimulation is less sensitive to device placement than in known light stimulators having no light pipes. The intensity is sufficient to deliver light through the eyelids, and is sufficient for the light's color to be perceived through the eyelids. The light stimulator improves on the state of the art, thereby enabling multiple new applications in the fields of biofeedback, lucid dreaming, and light-based alarms.

摘要： Disclosed are a system and a method for potentiating effective brainwaves by controlling volume of sound. The system comprises a brainwave detector for detecting brainwaves: a sound output unit: an image output unit; and a computing means comprising: a brainwave analysis module for analyzing a brainwave signal detected by the brainwave detector; a brainwave stimulation file DB in which visual or audio information relevant to generation of effective brainwaves, or a multimedia file associated with the visual or audio information is stored; a brainwave potentiating file DB in which various audio information for potentiating the generated specific effective brainwaves is stored; and a control module designed for operating the sound output unit and the image output unit whereby if an effective brainwave is determined to be generated according to the analysis of the brainwave analysis module, a brainwave potentiating file appropriate for the effective brainwave is retrieved from the brainwave potentiating file DB, and reproduced through the sound output unit, with volume of sound controlled.

摘要： In an embodiment, a method includes determining a target frequency corresponding to a target brain state and stimulating a brain of a user using feedback to attempt to achieve the target brain state in the user. The stimulating step may include measuring an electrical output of the brain of the user received from one or more sensors coupled to the user, determining a current frequency associated with the brain of the user based on the measured electrical output, and determining a difference between the current frequency and the target frequency. When the difference between the current frequency and the target frequency is greater than a predetermined amount, the method includes sending a signal to the brain of the user through one or more pathways. The signal may have a frequency operable to modify the current frequency associated with the brain of the user towards the target frequency.
