    • An improved frying pan configured with two surfaces/levels, the first cooking surface used to cook foods and a second surface (a convenient shelf) used to hold/store foods having a slope or pitch towards the outer perimeter of the frying pan. The storage shelf allows the user to store ingredients on the pan itself without the need for additional holding plates. The outward pitch of the storage shelf along with its ridges allows liquids such as fats and oils to drain away from the ingredients and stop them from re-entering the lower cooking surface. Therefore liquids will not combine with the food in the lower cooking surface and will not combine with other food ingredients when they are cooked.

    • An ice jacketed cooking apparatus provides a base that supports a plurality of legs that hold a cooking pot at an elevated position above the base. This enables conventional burners to be placed underneath the pot and upon the base during cooking period. A jacket surrounds the cooking pot and enables ice and water to be held in close proximity to the cooking pot and around the cooking pot at a selected time after cooking is completed. The ice enables spicy liquid such as pepper or salt infused water to be cooled quickly without diluting the pepper or spice or salt infused water after cooking is completed.

By moving the cover from the lifted position to the lowered position, the cover may contact the cooking surface to surround food cooking thereon. In another exemplary embodiment, the lowered positioned may be spaced upwardly from the cooking surface, allowing the cover to cap food thereon.
