    • A liquid transfer method and apparatus has primary and secondary transfer lines, wherein the primary line carries fluid being moved from a supply container through a transfer assembly to a receiving container, and the secondary line carries pressurized inert gas to substantially purge liquid from the primary line. Pressurized gas is admitted into the system upon actuation of a liquid level sensing float valve in response to the liquid level in the transfer device. The pressurized gas actuates the closure of a valve on the primary line near the receiving container. The pressurized inert gas proceeds to force residual liquid out of the primary lines into the secondary lines and into the receiving container. Manual inspection and valve actuation is used to terminate gas flow and complete the purging process.

    • A method and system for handling polluted liquids with a mobile sewage vehicle, especially stratified oil products in a petrol or oil tank wherein the contents of the tank normally separates into horizontal layers of useless polluted liquid and fully useable liquid, respectively. The fractions of the polluted and useable liquid are respectively drawn into a sludge tank and an extra tank so that the extra tank receives an immediately reuseable product which may be returned to the petrol or oil tank. The selective filling of the sludge tank and extra tank is obtained by providing an arrangement for enabling an inspection of the suctioned liquid as the suctioned liquid enters the sludge tank and a valve device for facilitating the necessary switching operations.

    • An apparatus for removing concentrations of liquid from a natural gas pipeline comprising a tap valve mounted on the pipeline at the upper portion thereof so as to be in communication with the interior of the pipeline. A siphon apparatus is removably mounted on the tap valve and includes a siphon pipe which is vertically movably mounted with respect to the tap valve. The siphon pipe is vertically movable from an upper position wherein the lower end of the siphon pipe is positioned above the tap valve to a lower position wherein the siphon pipe extends through the tap valve so that the lower end of the siphon pipe is positioned at the bottom interior of the pipeline. A discharge pipe extends from the siphon pipe and is in communication with a liquid holding tank. A siphon valve is imposed in the discharge pipe to permit the selective removal of the liquid from the pipeline. A portion of the siphon pipe is enclosed by an operating cylinder barrel. A piston is positioned on the siphon tube and sealably engages the interior of the operating cylinder barrel. The upper and lower ends of the operating cylinder barrel are in communication with a source of pressure so that the siphon pipe may be raised or lowered by means of the pressure. The upper and lower ends of the operating cylinder barrel are also in communication with the atmosphere through valves to permit the venting of the operating cylinder barrel as desired.
