摘要： A double safety lock and quick release tool and tool holder assembly comprising a locking portion in the tool holder including two apertures and a matching locking mechanism in the handle of the tool. The locking mechanism including a pair of springs, each spring having a locking pin at one end and being fastened at the other end within the handle of the tool, the two locking pins protruding above the surface of the tool handle and tightly fitting within the two apertures of the tool holder. The locking mechanism also including two activators, each activator having a portion extending outside the tool handle and a portion within the tool handle resting on one of the springs. When the activators are pushed, the springs are forced downward, resulting in the locking pins being moved downward from the surface of the tool handle and out of the apertures of the tool holder, thereby releasing the tool from the tool holder.

The bracket includes first and second panel portions joined by a reverse bend to receive a belt therebetween and define a belt support clip. A laterally extending third panel extends outwardly from the lower end of the second panel, and a fourth panel extends upwardly from the distal end of the third to define the channel configuration with the second and third panel members. The channel portion is configured to receive and engage the bottom and sides of the housing portion of a metal detector. A releasable strap extends between the upper edges of the second and fourth panel members to retain the housing in the channel portion.

摘要： A fire fighter's axe and sling combination is disclosed. The sling is attached to the wooden axe handle by two bands wrapped tightly around the handle at two spaced positions. It has been observed that fire fighter's axes are habitually exposed to abuse and rough treatment because of the emergency conditions which prevail during their use of the axe. The handles frequently break along lines disposed about 10 to 20 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the handle at the usual location of fracture. The bands pass around the handle at a position to reinforce the handle. A slot for receiving the sling is disposed adjacent the ends of the handle so that the sling will not interfere with the use of the axe and the firefighter can grasp the handle with the sling in the slot with no inconvenience.

摘要： Described is a belt buckle to which may be attached a tool in the form of a flat plate. The buckle body is formed by a fitting case and a base plate mounted to the rear surface of the fitting case. A leaf spring is mounted in the buckle body for pressingly holding the tool in the housed state. The plate spring has a pair of short strips for acting on the central part of the tool and a long strip for acting on the inner end of the tool. The upper and lower sides of the foremost portions of the fitting case are bent back to provide an engaging portion for preventing inadvertent withdrawal of the tool from the buckle body. When withdrawing the tool housed in the buckle body, it is only necessary to apply finger pressure on the end of the tool exposed through the central end notch of the fitting case.

The awl has a circular knob-shaped handle with a sharpened shank or spike protruding therefrom and a protective sheath which covers the sharpened shank when the awl is not in use. The sheath has a tubular shank receiving member which is pivotally connected to a clip which fits on the belt of a person using the awl. The tubular member can be rotated to a position with the open end of the member extending upwardly to hold the tee awl or it can be rotated to a position with the open end extending downwardly to make it easier to remove the awl by pulling it downwardly out of the sheath. The sheath and handle are preferably made of plastic and the shank and the clip for the sheath are preferably made of metal.

The horizontal portion has a U-shaped opening for receiving the shank of a hammer head. Lugs at the entrance of the opening prevent sideways removal of the hammer head. The external edges of the horizontal portion are diagonal, causing the hammer handle to rock against the leg of the user.
