An exemplary apparatus includes a first phase signal and a second phase signal operating at a sampling rate. An asserted time of the first phase signal and an asserted time of the second phase signal are separated by a predefined non-overlap time. The apparatus also includes a switched-capacitor circuit with a plurality of switched capacitors operably coupled to the first phase signal and the second phase signal. An amplifier is operably coupled to the switched-capacitor circuit and has a response time inversely proportional to an adaptive bias current. A bias generator is coupled to the amplifier and operates to modify the adaptive bias current responsive to the asserted time of the first phase signal.

摘要： A reference generation circuit provided according to an aspect of the present invention generates a reference potential at different levels in the hold phase of different cycles in an input path of a switched capacitor differential amplifier. In an embodiment, for each hold phase, the reference generator provides the reference potential with a magnitude that tracks the magnitude of the input signal applied in a corresponding (preceding) sample phase. In case of a single-ended output, the reference potential generated for each hold phase equals the magnitude of one of the inputs on the differential input path. As a result, the common mode voltage at the input terminals of an operational amplifier contained in the switched capacitor differential amplifier is maintained at a desired level.

摘要： A switched capacitor CMOS amplifier uses a first stage non-inverting CMOS amplifier driving a second stage inverting CMOS amplifier. The first stage amplifier is provided with positive feedback to substantially increase the gain of the first stage amplifier. In the described examples, the positive feedback is provided either by connecting a capacitor from the output to the input of the first stage amplifier or by connecting a shunt transistor in parallel with an input transistor and driving the transistor from the output of the first stage amplifier. The substantially increased gain resulting from the positive feedback allows the gain of the switched capacitor amplifier to be set by the ratio of the capacitance of an input capacitor to the capacitance of a feedback capacitor. The amplifier also includes switching transistors for periodically discharging the input capacitor and the feedback capacitor.
