摘要： This invention is to provide an ultra-miniaturized, thin-sized memory card provided with a mechanism for preventing a wrong insertion to a memory card slot. A multi-function memory card is composed of a card body and a cap for housing the card body. The card body is made of mold resin that encapsulates plural semiconductor chips mounted on a main surface of a wiring substrate. The card body is housed into the cap with the back face of the wiring substrate facing outward. Guide channels are provided at both side faces of the cap for preventing that the card is inserted upside down. Further, a convex section is provided at the trailing edge of the cap for preventing that the card is inserted in the wrong direction.

The first contact member can be positioned for contacting a personalized card received by the apparatus and for displacing the personalized card against a bow occurring therein. A second contact member can be supported by the frame for contacting the personalized card on a side opposite the first contact member. The second contact member being arranged and configured to contact an opposite side of the personalized card at a plurality of positions proximate the perimeter of the personalized card. In this manner, the first and second contact members cooperate to bend substantially the entire surface area of the personalized card against the occurring bow.

摘要： A card processor which maintains security against unauthorized reading of the magnetic data recorded in the card and improves operability by suppressing offensive feeling to the customers includes a card carriage control unit which rotates carrier rollers in a direction in which a card is taken in by the interior of the main body until the card is held by the pair of carrier rollers closest to the insertion port. Therefore, the customer who inserts the card does not receive offensive feeling such as supporting something with the card that occurs when the leading end of the card comes in contact with the carrier rollers that are halting. As the card is held by the carrier rollers, further, the card carriage control unit intermittently carries the card so as to be taken in by the main body. Even in case an unauthorized card reader is attached to the front surface of the insertion port, therefore, the card data are not read out without authorization.
