    • There is provided an engine capable of reducing oil consumption. The engine includes a cylinder head, a cylinder head cover mounted above the cylinder head, a rocker arm covered by the cylinder head cover, and a breather chamber provided inside the cylinder head cover. As a front-rear direction is defined by a longitudinal direction of the cylinder head cover, the breather chamber has a blow-by gas inlet at one side in the front-rear direction, a blow-by gas outlet at another side in the front-rear direction, and an oil discharging guide chamber at an intermediate part in the front-rear direction. The blow-by gas inlet is opened on a bottom wall of the breather chamber, and a peripheral wall of the oil discharging guide chamber is protruded downwardly from the bottom wall of the breather chamber toward between the rocker arm provided at a side of the blow-by gas outlet and the blow-by gas inlet.

    • An internal combustion engine includes a supercharger, an oil tank, a scavenging pump, a first passage, a second passage, and a one-way valve. The supercharger is provided in an intake passage. The oil tank communicates with a crankcase via a collecting passage. The scavenging pump is provided in the collecting passage to transport a fluid in the crankcase to the oil tank. The first passage connects an upper space located above a liquid surface in the oil tank and a downstream portion of the intake passage located on a downstream side with respect to the supercharger. The second passage connects the upper space and an upstream portion of the intake passage located on an upstream side with respect to the supercharger. The one-way valve is provided in the first passage and allows the fluid to flow only from the upper space toward the intake passage.

    • Provide is a PCV valve which can be quickly defreezed and provides a favorable sealing to the heater against the blow-by gas. The PCV valve (2) comprises a housing (6) defining a flow passage (4) for blow-by gas, a valve member (30) positioned in the flow passage to cooperate with a valve seat (18) formed in the housing, a spring (38) biasing the valve member toward the valve seat, a heat transmission member (40) including a heat dissipating part (42) surrounding the valve member, and a heating unit (52) including a heating element (66) for heating the heat transmission member, the heating element being separated from the flow passage in an air tight manner.
