    • A tubular latch assembly for a door and adapted for operation by either an “opener” such as a thumbpiece on one side and/or a knob on the other. The tubular latch comprises a central latch subassembly mounted inside the door and including a latch casing seated in the door, a bolt slidably mounted in said latch casing for extension/retraction (such as through an open face plate), a pivoting retraction lever coupled to the bolt, a spindle hub having a pair of offset cam surfaces, and a pivoting reversing lever engaged at one end with the bolt and at the other end with the second cam surface on the spindle hub for driving the bolt. The central latch subassembly allows opening by either the opener (e.g., thumbpiece) or by rotation of the knob, operation of the knob not affecting the opener and vice versa. This entirely eliminates any need for off-axis motion translation or accompanying mechanisms that are ordinarily used to adapt the axis of rotation of an opener to the orthogonal axis of rotation of a latch or spindle hub, thereby reducing the total number of parts as well as internal friction.

    • An electromagnetic lock comprises: a body combined with a retaining frame by using locking studs and retaining screws; one side of the retaining frame being installed with a trigger receiving box; and an absorption plate combined to a supporting frame; two metal rings being installed in the absorption plate; the absorption plate having locking screws; wherein in installation, for aligning the body and the absorption plate, adjusting screws are installed between the absorption plate and the supporting frame. The supporting frame has screw holes for receiving the adjusting screws; one side of the supporting frame has two magnetic holes for receiving magnets; a magnet protection sheet are installed at lower side of the magnets; and a small screw serves to lock the protection sheet to the supporting frame. The trigger can be hidden so as to occupy a small space and the installation work is easy.

    • An extendable trim ring for deadbolt locks having a collar slidably mounted in an annular flange. The flange is defined by a tubular wall outwardly-encircled by a protruding lip, and a notch running around the lip. In addition, the rim of the flange is defined by alternately longer and shorter teeth. The annular collar is slidably received within the annular flange. Specifically, the annular collar has a tubular wall seated within the notch of the flange. The inner surface of the collar is defined by a plurality of recessed axial tracks for slidably receiving the alternately longer and shorter teeth of the flange. Thus, the collar can be pulled from the flange (to extract said teeth from the tracks), rotated, and reinserted for pull-and-twist adjustment of the extension of the collar from the flange. The convenient pull-and-twist adjustment accommodates two different door thicknesses, such as a standard 1⅜″ [35 mm] to a narrow door thickness of or 1¾″ [44 mm], or as otherwise desired for residential door thicknesses, and can easily set and installed in the field.

    • A car door lock is disclosed. The car door lock comprises: a lock casing; an actuation mechanism mounted on the lock casing; and a press mechanism located outside the lock casing; wherein the door lock further comprises a pull rod extending through the lock casing to connect with the actuation mechanism and the press mechanism, the actuation mechanism enables the opening and closing of the press mechanism via a linear movement of the pull rod. The lock casing is provided with a hole for receiving the pull rod, a protruding platform is formed on the periphery of the hole, the pull rod is provided with a groove for fitting the seal ring, and the seal ring is located within the hole when the pull rod is moved in the hole. The car door lock solves the waterproof problem in positions between the press mechanism and the lock casing.
