    • A system for simplifying launching and storage procedures for a recreational boat comprising a radio receiver/controller adapted to be permanently installed onboard the boat, a hand-held radio transmitter for sending a plurality of different signals to the receiver/controller, the receiver/controller including a plurality of separate control circuits, said circuits being connectable to a plurality of power-operated locks on the boat and a set of other electrically operated devices on the boat such as electric lights, an engine tilt actuator, and a bilge blower, the receiver/controller being arranged to be powered by an electrical power circuit serving electrically operated devices on the boat separate from those controlled by the transmitter and receiver/controller, the locks being integrated with manually operated latches and having a manual key override feature.

    • The present invention relates to a dual lock apparatus (10) of the type including a locking bolt (14) moveable between a first locked position and a second unlocked position said bolt movement corresponding with longitudinal movement of a slider (26) said apparatus including a first and a second locking means adapted to operate independently of one another. The first locking means (74) includes a rotatable cam (76) such that when rotated said cam acts against a moveable piston to thereby move said piston from a first position to a second position in which the second locking means becomes disengaged from said slider and further rotation of the cam urges longitudinal movement of the slider. The second locking means includes an electric motor in geared connection to a member (44) moveable between a first position and second position corresponding with the locked and unlocked positions of the bolt said member including an outwardly biased pin (52) adapted to engage the piston cylinder (58) and urge said piston into said piston first position to thereby mechanically connect the second locking means with the slider. The locking means can therefore operate independently of one another.

    • An institutional door lock mechanism for retrofitting existing installations with a remotely controllable/monitorable door lock and open/close position indicator is described. A hollow vertical door strike jamb extends along an outside surface of the door frame opposite a hollow vertical columnar striker plate mechanism mounted on a fronting plate of the door. A hollow vertical housing also on the fronting plate contains a first component part of a proximity/alignment detection mechanism including a magnetic reed switch. The door strike jamb is configured as a vertical riser for housing a wiring harness for the catch-extension/retraction mechanism and for the proximity/alignment detection mechanism. The catch-extension/retraction mechanism includes a motor for extending/retracting the catch, the motor being operable by a securely coded manual key placed adjacent a switch mechanism or within a keyway operatively coupled with the switch mechanism. The catch-extension/retraction mechanism operates in a fail-safe lock-down mode of operation in the event of power interruption or failure.

    • Disclosed is an electronic door locking apparatus having a mortise lock including dead bolt and latch bolt installed therein, which is able to easily open a door from the outside by inserting a metal card having a magnet installed inside if a power source such as a dry battery is not supplied or if the locking apparatus is not used due to other mechanical defects, and also able to perform a lock function since a dead bolt is locked if a handle grip of an outer unit is revolved upwards when there are defects in a driving motor or electronic components. For this purpose, the present invention provides a door locking apparatus including a mortise lock having a dead bolt extruded and contracted by a driving force of a motor installed in the inner unit in order to lock/unlock a door, and a door locking/unlocking latch bolt operated by the handle grips of the inner and outer units; a latch bolt driving means for operating the latch bolt; a dead bolt driving means for operating the dead bolt; an emergency release assembly installed inside the outer unit and engaged with the handle grip of the outer unit in order to unlock the locked dead bolt when it is turned off by means of the motor; and an emergency card inserted into the emergency release assembly to unlock the dead bolt.

    • A safe electromagnetic lock including a first bolt provided with an elastic fastener, an elastic slide bolt positioned on an end of the first bolt, an electromagnetic device connected to a computer and a second bolt. The computer controls induction of the elastic fastener by the electromagnetic device, and a key inserted into a first keyhole, or another key inserted into a second keyhole, controls sliding movement of the elastic slide block to push against the elastic fastener, thereby releasing an abutting state and effecting unhindered unlocking of the safe electromagnetic lock. Upon unlocking, a front end of the second bolt extends out from a case, and protruding mount of the second bolt is used to press down on a steel ball, thereby enabling the second bolt to achieve a solid fixation and effectively preventing mistakenly locking and avoiding forgetting to lock the safe electromagnetic lock.
