摘要： A safety device is disclosed for converting the inside cylinder of a double cylinder deadbolt assembly to one which captivates a key inserted into the assembly to permit it to rotate to operate the deadbolt. The device prevents removal of the inside key under normal circumstances. This is accomplished by a base member, which is attached to the face of the inside cylinder or cylinder lock assembly. The base member has a circular opening in it, defined by an inwardly-turned shoulder. A key-holding member is rotatably captured between the shoulder of the base member and the face of the cylinder lock assembly, when it is secured to the face of the lock assembly, to permit insertion and rotation of a key in the lock assembly. The key-holding member includes a device for securing the key against removal from it when the assembly is in place. No modification of the cylinder lock assembly is necessary.

摘要： A conventional keyed, pin-tumbler lock has an abutment portion formed on the key axially adjacent one of the key notches at the side thereof axially inward of the lock cylinder which normally axially obstructs that lock pin when the key is properly inserted in the lock cylinder key slot to prevent normal withdrawal of the key from the lock cylinder while still permitting free rotation of the lock cylinder by the key in its normal locking and unlocking movements. A key removal member is axially insertable into the key slot adjacent the key within a key axial recess and has a leading angled surface portion terminating axially in a raised surface portion which progressively move and ultimately retain that particular pin from its key pin notch and the key abutment portion obstruction, thereby permitting normal key removal from the lock cylinder. Alternatively, with the same key abutment portion and key removal member concept, the particular associated lock pin may be merely a lock cylinder pin and pin spring at all times contained solely within the lock cylinder but operating in the same general manner including always permitting lock cylinder rotation in key unlocking condition.

摘要： A locking device having a guard lock for safety doors includes a mechanical actuator which can be fastened on a movable door part and a housing which interacts with the actuator and can be fastened to a door counterpart. The housing includes a receptor to which the actuator can be inserted, and the housing comprises a locking element which is displaceable between an unlocked position, in which the actuator can be released, and a locked position, in which the actuator can be fixed relative to the receptor. The actuator comprises an engagement tongue having an engagement recess for mechanical operative engagement with a head end of a locking element in form of an engagement plunger, the engagement plunger being guided in the housing so as to be longitudinally displaceable in a spring-biased manner in the in a plunger longitudinal direction relative to an inner fixed bearing.
