摘要： A chain and cable handling winch system including a winch, a cable drum, a chain wheel, and a chain wheel lock assembly is provided. The chain wheel lock assembly releasable secures the chain wheel in a working position on a winch axle end. An interface body is mounted on the winch axle end such that it rotates with the axle. When the chain wheel is in its working position, slots and/or ribs of the chain wheel interlock with corresponding ribs and/or slots of the interface body, such that a torque load is transferred from the chain wheel to the winch axle via the interface body. The winch system further includes a chain wheel manipulator adapted to the exchange chain wheel mounted on the winch axle for another chain wheel.

摘要： A traveling crane includes a longitudinal beam displaceable on rails. A traveler having a hoisting winch with a cable drum is displaceable in a transverse direction, and is operable to wind a cable reeved through at least one lower block. The hoisting winch is displaceable relative to the traveler in a hoisting winch travel direction such that a cable run out point remains in one location relative to the longitudinal extent of the cable drum. Two winching hoists are provided which are displaceable transversely to the longitudinal beam with respective cable drums thereof being disposed parallel to and spaced from each other. A common cable can be wound up and down by the two cable drums, and the two cable drums include cable grooves running in opposite directions. The two cable drums are operable in the opposite direction of rotation for lifting and lowering a load.

摘要： A grapple yarder is described having an engine-driven cablereeling structure including a plurality of drums with gear drives and clutches for engaging the drive mechanism with the respective drums. The drum system includes an outhaul drum which carries the outhaul cable normally used as a running skyline whereby it both supports the grapple carriage and pulls it outwardly from the yarder; and a pair of main line drums for reeling a two-part inhaul line to move the carriage inwardly with associated drive gear, clutches and brakes such that each drum may be operated or stopped independently and a differential mechanism positioned between the main drums effective to drive them simultaneously but in opposite directions, as may be required to operate a load line or tag line attached to one part of the inhaul line.
